I finally found spare mags for the .25 caliber on ebay. Shipped price is same as Beeman would have charged. But Beeman doesn't even list that rifle in that caliber or the mags anymore - so no idea what's going on with that.

Well, I can say the UX Gauntlet mags won't work - too thick. Won't even be able to sand down the mag back to make it thin enough. Other than that, I believe it would have. Beeman 1359 25cal mag is right at 0.585" thick. Thickness varies up to about 0.592" as I move the caliper around checking...

Anyone know where to source Beeman 1359 (25 cal) magazines? Or an equivalent?

I've called Pyramyd, and they say that is normal on the Gauntlet. Obviously - once pressurized it should be tight - still not sure air won't leak with it - but we'll see.

Gotta watch 231 in "big" cases - or even little cases. Too easy to double charge one if someone walks in with those off-the-wall questions and interrupts your workflow. Not a huge fan of Lee dippers either...

Question - would you buy an SCBA bottle from this ebay vendor? SCBA bottle I'm thinking of getting a bottle for spot refills "in the field". So want something relatively light, and safe.

I noticed the sling issue, but I hadn't heard about the mags jamming. .22, .177 or other caliber?

I obviously haven't shot it yet, but I would agree on the weight and length. Cocking the bolt seems to be an issue as well. I need to get a sling for it which will help make it more useful

I'm new to this stuff (air rifles/PCP/etc). Been a centerfire/rimfire guy for a tad over 60 years (dad started me when I was 3 - I don't remember it, but I don't doubt it). So wasn't sure - but just wanted to make the distinction. Have seen several negative reviews of the V2, so... 'V1'. ;)

Update Contacted Pyramydair about it - it was within the return/exchange period. I returned it, asked for an exchange, and today got an email with the tracking number for the replacement. Couldn't ask for more at this point
