    Chronograph Madness

The distance from center to top is ~15mm & bottom is roughly the same, however alignment is absolutely critical (new software has alignment detection though - so you can detect if there's an issue) I would not recommend to use the outer surfaces on the Chrony as a reference point, and only...

    Chronograph Madness

The only other Chronograph i've seen with repeatability accuracy is the Pro-chrono DLX, but they specify it in timing ns... kinda frustrating, you'd have to do the maths on sensor spread & calculate a %. Adapters - all the work is still valid, you'd just add a 20.1mm round end to slide into a...

    Chronograph Madness

Your expectation of chronograph accuracy is far too high - as is most peoples. Due to manufacturing tolerances, unless they're live shot calibrated - you're just not going to get the accuracy of the actual pellet speed. You can get 1% shot to shot consistency, but you'll see a higher variance...

    Hill Mark3 Pump Rebuild Question

Going through a rebuild & struggling too... keep blowing out the green orings. Did get a few to work ok & then it was like the check valve was stuck - looks like the other orings are done. One question... note how hill give you the brass tip & not the o-ring..... is the brass possibly wearing...

    buckchrony

I can only talk about the regular NateChrony - some barrels it does affect POI, others not - depends on the barrel. So i'll never make the claim. There's a few pro bench shooters that use it & just leave it on their barrel 100% of the time with great success - but again, I wont claim that...

    buckchrony

(NateChrony - NOT the BuckChrony - ref BuckRails product page for the buck chrony) Like a 457 Texan at a few hundred fpe? yeah no issues: Inner is ~16mm, good for 50cal up to ~150-200fpe Carbon version on the way for the big power (which is what Papa used above) Slugs are actually much...

    $27 chronograph

There are the variable adapters which allow it to be used over un-threaded barrels or moderators up to 55mm (i.e. Donny Sumo)

    $27 chronograph

Doesnt that hang on the end of the barrel?
  9. NateChrony

    $27 chronograph

yeah 100% understand It also cannot be used with powder burners & isnt good with CO2, muzzle mount isnt a magical solution for everything & there's reasons to purchase different units for sure.

    $27 chronograph

Yeah this was a design decision. I can add a screen to the Chrony, it'd be small, fragile, hard to read, add weight on the muzzle, add cost, maybe a hinge for it to fold out & face rearward (fragile!), if there's a problem you'd HAVE to come to me for a replacement. IMO a bad solution these...

    $27 chronograph

Sorry if it sounded aggressive - not my intention. My point was also that "free shipping" is never actually free, robbing peter to pay paul as it were

    How accurate is your chronograph?

Sorry - maybe I didnt put it well. There's 2 things with Chronograph accuracy: - How close the result is to the actual speed of the pellet - How consistent the results are at a given speed (cant think of a better word when talking uncertainty) Example: - Pellet speeds: 1000, 998, 999, 1002...

    How accurate is your chronograph?

Dont disagree at all. If you're a casual shooter - you probably dont need this at all. The only other use case for non-benchers/serious would be equipment tuning & diagnosing - how consistent is your platform & can you get any more out of it. If 10fps variance is enough - then 100% that'll do...

    How accurate is your chronograph?

Most bench shooters demand the best accuracy on the market & well below that... however its mostly around shot to shot consistency, which is typically better than the absolute measurement of speed.

    Chrono

Holler if you need anything... Yes - its a little more technie than the traditional shoot over chrony's, this is by design. We didnt include a battery or a screen - as "everyone" has a mobile - which is the worlds best screen & has a battery. This allows us to make it more rugged & keep costs...

    $27 chronograph

yeah - side note... Andy mis-spoke saying you had to calibrate it from another unit - that feature is to "un-calibrate" it so to speak. Every NateChrony is shoot-through calibrated from our certified/traceable master chronographs to within 1fps @ 1,000fps. So its the most accurate on the market.

    $27 chronograph

Holler if you need anything. Shipping will never be free - as its sent from Australia, i've just changed to a much faster shipper which is cheaper too, so I might bump the price & "include free shipping". There's also Hajimoto who stocks it locally in the US

Tuning Zelos Chronograph Results, Nate Chrony

Rick - glad its running ok. Compare it to another Chronograph? The NateChrony is calibrated to our certified/traceable master chronographs & is within 1fps @ 1,000fps. If you do compare it to another chrony - check its specs! Labradar - ~10fps @ 1,000 Garmin - 8fps @ 1,000 (depending on pro or...

    How accurate is your chronograph?

Who does a heap of back to back comparisons in all conditions - it'd be expensive & most YT channels are somewhat "shills" for specific brands. I've literally calibrated 1000's of chronographs & my OCD has made it an interesting adventure. Things like how its mounted or fixed, even vibrations...

    How accurate is your chronograph?

Overall it appears they're well thought through - i'd have pretty high confidence in their process & methodology. Radars... there's been some really good talk on other forums from guys that have worked with radar for 40+ years, they basically giggle when radar Chrony's come up.
