I have a couple that I use for setting up my field target ranges. But I hunt with a range finding binoculars while squirrel or bow hunting. Not always time to switch from one to the other. Plus it’s one less thing hanging around my neck.
Every Christmas my brothers and I would buy the disk pistols or the yellow rubber ball pistols and have a war in the house. Mom would find the disk all year long while cleaning.
I took the shot cups from the .72 air tubes to Jays and matched up the best fitting wad. I cut the wad end off and the shock end off. Put the wad half way in the shot cup and added the shot. Then I put the shock end over the wad and pressed the whole thing in the shot cup. They won’t separate...
14* and windy this morning. But we got a new inch of snow. So I decided to do a little bunny hunting with the Harpoon. I made up a 1/2 dozen loads of 3/4oz TSS #7 and headed to the woods. Was nice to be able to just walk and hunt without having to be quit deer hunting. I got a 11 point the...
That is true. Not much different then loading my smoothbore muzzleloaders with shot and wad. At 20 yards I keep about 80% of a 1oz load of #8 TSS in a 8x11 printer paper.
Not really! The only way to put the safty back on after firing the first shot is to recock it. Then put the safty on and before shooting the second barrel you need to dryfire the first one. I dont load the charged cylinders with shot or slug until I load the gun. No, I dont feel safe carring the...
I have been making my own 3D .50 cal shot shell capsules for my Wingshots for over a year. But now I have a .72 cal AEA Harpoon and need shot capsules for it. Instead of making my own 3D or paying $1+ for them on line, I came up with a solution that anyone can make and shoot for less than 3...
I have the .72 with the smoothbore long barrels for bunny hunting. Kind of a companion for my .50 Wingshot and Doubleshot. I had so much fun with it that I bought the .45 rifled long barrels and .50 rifled short barrels Too. At 50 yards off sandbags with the .45 I can keep both shots in a paper...
Like already said. After first opening, hit the rim with some silicon lube. If you can’t get the top open for the first time, just drop it on the ground. Seems to always work if you didn’t mean to!
The 4 on the shelf in the back are true ShoeBoxes. They were and in my case, still are AWSOME compressor. Too bad Tom couldn’t keep up with the cheaper ones.
Didn’t take pictures. But my friend and I took 13 of my PCPs back to our range Last Saturday. The bed of the John Deere Gator was heaped full! Of those, 2 were .50 cal, 2 .45 cal and the .40 cal Badger. Casting makes for inexpensive target shooting. I don’t shoot them as much or as often as the...
The other issue with these FAST compressors is you have no way to pre filter the air before it enters. They really piss out the water when bleeding between time-outs when filling even a small container.
