The Maverick/Wildcat or M4 compact can crank out 70+ fpe easily even with 500mm barrel in .22, as long as you have heavier hammer to go with higher reg pressure in 140 to 170 bar, but it's easier to get there with .25 or .30 if you need high FPE.

if your bottle pressure is at 300 bar, running the reg at 80 bar "generally" is going to put significant more stress on the reg than if you were to run the reg at 150, or have the bottle fill at 250 bar, since it has to maintain/regulate and keep down 220 bar of pressure (from 300 down to 80)...

No, my bone stock .22 M4 600mm can push the 25 slugs at around 920~930fps with 110 bar at the reg, valve line 4 and Micro wheel at 3.8, in slug transport port. you can get it to high 900s with more hammer and/or bump up the reg to 120 bar, no slug power kit needed for 25gr weight slugs

Try JSB Diablo and see if it's more consistent. Avenge x barrel kit is only $69 so you could also replace it without breaking the bank.

Time to consider getting a backup/second PCP airgun that isn't from FX, when one of them is out of commission at least you have another one to keep on shooting, even an Umarex Notos as backup is better than nothing, 18~20fpe is enough to kill rats up to 50~60 yard instant lights out.
