Hello, I am reassembling the barrel on my avenger, and seem to have an extra part. It is a very tiny o ring. The only idea that I have is that it was under the large pointed barrel securing grub screw to help prevent over tightening the screw. Can someone let me know if I am correct? Thank you

Thank you for all of your help. It sounds like you are right about the o ring. I will take it apart tomorrow, and see. I think I may try to come up with something to fill the gouge with. Maybe JBweld or epoxy. I would like to avoid a new barrel, as I have a lot of time and effort invested...

There also was a small groove after I removed the barrel. It is about 1/4 in. long, and is from the largest grub screw, with the point, not being loose enough.
