I found some posts saying the Nikko Stirling was not recommended for springers. I bought a Sightron STac from AoA that was recommended for springers like the HW97.

I have a Nikko Stirling 10-50x60 made I think early 90’s and wondered if it is ok to use on a HW97? If so would I need rings or mounts that have the stops in the bottom for springers? Or just regular rings/mounts?

My Thomas should arrive soon after yours. I just ordered a HW97K from AoA to shoot HFT this year. Should be a fun year waiting for the Thomas!

This was Tim’s last one in .177. I was in his shop getting a R7 and saw it hanging on the wall. Needless to say, i walked out of his shop with two rifles with scopes installed.

Ok thank you for the clarification. So looking at available cf tank options, they are listed as 74 cubic feet. Utah Airguns has one listed as 6.8L and the description says 74 cubic feet. I’m assuming 74 cubic feet at 4500 psi is good to go for the CS4?

Ok just trying to be cautious. GX replied 74 cubic feet was not recommended. Did you run continuously or stop to cool down? How long did it take to fill?

Thanks for the suggestions and advice. Looking through my storage, I realized I still have the Nikko Sterling scope I took off of the CRX. I emailed Nick at Thomas airguns. I really like his design. I’m probably going to put an order in for one of his FT rifles.

Thats a nice CRX! I sold mine years ago. Shouldn’t have done that. There was a guy on the old yellow forum that saw my post when I first got it and said he had one and only knew 1 other guy that had a CRX. Are you the original owner?
