Emery paper didn't do anything other than make it nice an shiny:rolleyes: I ended up chucking the liner into a 1/2" drill, supporting the other end of the liner on some foam and running an old carborundum stone back and forth while running the drill. Just did about 3 inches of the chamber end...

I think I've found the issue. Tried the original liner and it went in with no trouble. So I got out the micrometer and sure enough, the new slug liner is about 0.1mm bigger than the original. I guess that's all it takes:cautious: I've scratched the new liner so I won't be able to return it...

Ran a borescope down, no extra o-rings or anything else that I can see that would cause a problem Moses in PA

3 o-rings came out with the original liner which I believe is the right number. I think I'm going to run a borescope down to double check. Yeah, they're the same length. Thanks Moses in PA

I got my .25 slug liner today and I'm having a hard time insertiing the new liner into the barrel. I can get it so that there's a little over an inch an, a half sticking out, and by pushing hard get it in a little further, but then it won't move. If I do give it that extra push, it's a real bear...

I do the opposite. I will stuff a dead groundhog back down into his hole, using a stick or my shooting tripod to get his as deep as possible and will sometimes stuff some sticks or leaves down on top of it. I do this to prevent raptors from eating the carcass and getting poisoned by any lead...

I'm not aware that there is a slug power kit for the .30 Maverick. All that I've found are for the .22 and .25 and they don't include a heavier hammer spring, though the heavier hammer weight will help you out. I'm don't know what hammer weight that the .30 ships with. I know that the .22 ships...

I have to admit to not being a big fan of head shots. My nightmare scenario is taking a head shot and instead, hitting the target in the jaw. You can bet a percentage of those prairie dogs that people take head shots on get down the hole with their jaw smashed and end up dying long painful...

If your barrel is like the .30 barrel I just got for my Maverick, that single port is actually larger than the split port on my original .22 barrel or the HUMA port I bought. Moses in PA
