If you are going to try slugs from the .22 taipan it will shoot them.. but only in .216 as close to 18gr like the nsa 17.5gr In . 216 my recent mutant standard do great with those, and is a really tight choke barrel..

What speed are you shooting them..? They might need to be in the 950fps + in order to work.. and something no body is going to tell you.. if you don't tension that barrel..you could simply throw the gun in the trash can ..my barrel is 22" long your is 24" with a big and heavy can on the front...

I was lucky enough to get one of the last uragan 1 standard in .177 .. tuned by Derek it shoot 15gr - 15.5 gr and 16gr simply flawless.. 16gr at 970fps .. anything heavier and is doesn't work at all .. nothing from 17gr to 20gr.... but 16gr at 970fps there's is nothing safe 100y +.

I don't have a rti .. but try NSA 15gr slugs and griffin 16gr.. those are the only ones that worked in my uragan 1 at MOA acurracy. 16gr are the max weight that the 1-17.7 twist will stabilize well .. 17gr n up usually you will need more twist.. not ready aviable right now.
