    Show me your projectile hoard...

My projectile hoard is inconvenience to photograph as, for weight reasons, it's scattered and sorted amongst several shelves, cabinets and drawers. There's enough that I need to use a spreadsheet to keep track of what's in stock for each airgun and when I should reorder. Cheers!

    All functional? 😳

    HW/Weihrauch HW 50 s Finally Broken In

Too bad, you moved it along, the HW50 is a nice all around shooter. Weihrauchs are typically well made but some benefit from a bit of spit and polish. A heavier pellet might have helped tame the jolt. I wonder it the piston seal was compromised and not getting that buffering cushion of air at...

    HW/Weihrauch HW 50 s Finally Broken In

Never had to wait that long with Weihrauchs. They are almost boringly good. For fun with Chinese and Czech springers I clean out the cheap grease, lubricate with gear oil, shoot a tin and then disassemble to identify areas of concern. Rough spots are polished, burrs removed, loose parts...

    HW/Weihrauch HW 50 s Finally Broken In

There might have been a burr or a rough spot that needed to settle in. I usually allow at least 500 to 1000 shots for break-in and familiarization so I wouldn't say that your experience was unusual. I do enjoy my Weihrauch springers and PCPs, they see a lot of use. Cheers!

    FX Chronograph V1 vs V2

I have a Chrony, the V1 and a LabRadar. All three pretty much agree velocity wise. The Chrony has the usual screen alignment issues but works well in the house. The other two are Radar units and work well when there's not a lot of clutter around. I'd get the V2. Cheers!

    What’s your favorite target?

Honeycomb cereal, suspended on a string to blow around in the breeze. Lots in a box, challengingto hit, reactive (explodes nicely) AND there's no cleanup required - it's biodegradable (if the critters don't eat it first)! Cheers!

    HAPPY TURTLE DAY!!!

You are right! I had to check, they are Eastern Sliders, you can tell by the calm demeanor, this one is humoring me!

Why do maximum pellet velocities differ between various guns?

As mentioned above, there's lots of reasons "why" and the don't necessarily apply equally across different platforms. Experimenting will give you some answers and likely a lot more questions. 😵‍💫 Suggestion: pay attention to details, be consistent in everything, and shoot as much as you...

    Outshooting the Gun?

When I say “I’ll never outshoot this gun” I'm pointing out that the accuracy of gun will never be a limiting factor in the final results. I can manage 1/2 MOA groups (on a good day) and most of my airguns are easily capable of that within their effective range. On the flip side, I've shot...

    HAPPY TURTLE DAY!!!

As a kid, and now again as a retired adult, I find myself relating to Mother Nature's clock more than the human calendar. (I threw my watch away - literally - the day I retired and haven't worn one since - don't miss it a bit LOL!) The warm weather "seasons" relate to when the snow melted and...

    FedEx today’s delivery!

I don't know up from down either but I found a little button in the photo editor that fixes that 😉

What’s Applications Do You Use Your Airguns For?

I had a Daisy Model 25 for a while but preferred pellets to BBs so it got traded away. I'm considering getting another Model 25 but, locally, it seems to be in short supply. Started off with a little Slavia 618 break barrel springer, still have it and shoot it occasionally. The "light springer"...

What’s Applications Do You Use Your Airguns For?

Yeah, pretty much the same here. I have spinners scattered all over my backyard range. Except for testing and tuning, paper is for winter indoor use, outdoors it's reactive targets. Love the low power airguns, I do a lot of plinking and sniping with my 10 meter target guns. Though I do have a...

What’s Applications Do You Use Your Airguns For?

The posts of some of the amazing things that people are doing with a 6-7 fpe springer like a Weihrauch HW30 was my inspiration for asking the question: What’s Applications Do You Use Your Airguns For? I’m not doubting them or suggesting that we should observe some arbitrary “rules” or...

    Ambidextrous shooters?

Eye dominance is going to play a big role in aiming even if you are used to shooting with both eyes open. You mentally go with the dominant image and use the other for depth estimation and situational awareness. Think that you would need to cover the dominant eye to force the use of the other...

FWB The 10 meter SSP pistol still exists

My P8x is a real pleasure to shoot, good to know that hand-pumping is a reasonable option. I do enjoy the rhythm of shooting my FWB 100 SSP pistol though. Cheers!

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 in .22

I use my .177 HW30 for plinking spinners out to 25ish yards and my .22 HW50 for pesting out to about the same distance. The larger pellet transfers power better and reduces pass-thru. The distance is not a limitation of either springer, that's just how I use them. If I want to shoot at...

Benjamin Marauder .25 frustration...is it the gun, or my expectations?

In its day the Marauder was a great choice. Today, if I was in the market for a PCP, I'd be looking at current technology and more modern products rather than pouring money into an old platform. Just my opinion, Cheers!

    Make some wind flags

Nice, but I prefer a simpler approach. 🙂 I make mine from some flagging tape, a couple of inches of bead-chain and a piece of coat hanger... https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/wind-indicator-flag-were-having-a-parade.1289867/
