Just got this raider back together and all gassed up and the hammer spring was set to bounce house. Not sure if the original owner got it like this or they ran it in to clear the barrel. I see now why crosman recalled the icon. If it was like this from the factory I see how someone could keep feeding it pellets out of confusion. I had to run it out until I could hear the hammer with zero preload, only than did it not bounce. I'm going to gas it back up and chrony test it. If the numbers are bad and can't hold a good string I'm going start with ahammer spring swap and if need be, lighten the hammer on the laithe.

I shot through a window once, with an AEA HP SS.
I had just added a scope to it.
Looking through the scope out the window I pulled the trigger .
I expected that air gun to have no pellet in the barrel.
I was shocked to see a hole in the window and tiny fractures extending all over the window.

The trigger on the AEA HP SS will capture pellets in the trigger area, so the trigger will work sometimes and not work other times.
I sold that air gun to people who claimed they knew how to deal with their issues.

I own one and it just stopped pooping pellets in the trigger group after I bottle converted it. If they weren't jamming they were breaking valves but we're occasionally pretty rowdy in between.

I guess it’s no different than the guy who buys a muscle car and immediately wraps it around a telephone pole. I did put a .22 magazine in a .25 and went nuts for an hour wondering what happened to my guns accuracy.
