100 yard pellet Benchrest which rig?

Do they have that 50 yard match anywhere close to west tn. Only thing I've found close to me is a field target match in minor hill tn,which I plan to attend when they have it again. I'd like to attend some bench rest 50 yard matches. ,or any distance long as it's other airguns there. There's not alot of target ranges here in west tn,people have big yards,we shoot 100 yards in our yards, guess that's the reason there's no ranges around.,but there could be and I not know about them.
Only club I see on the N50 website that is in TN. Hope this helps.
Thx

Thank you for the info. I was testing today shooting at 100 yards. My first official target I've ever shoot, been avoiding them cause they are so big. I think I shot a 216. I marked the holes and shoot two more rounds. My last score I shot was a 226 with 8x. Each time I shot,I got better at hitting g the centers. Here's my first shooting. The dots way out to the sides are not holes but screws to hold the target in place. I'm knowing this is not one of my better 25 shot strings, still its first time I ever shot and added each shoot up. I even had some wind .

Sunday morning my dad watched me shoot a 235.i couldn't post it because I'd already shot the page once, but I marked the first round hole with a marker. Then shot the sheet again. I had 11xs on that round. Best one I've ever done. When attempted to repeat, I shot a 231. I don't have anymore targets. Shot my last official target yesterday in the wind test my tune, pellets, wind drift ect.. I have a winning combo. People keep telling me I can't shoot pellets fast. Well,I beg the differ, the twist rate of your barrel is what causes the pellets to go wind in the wind. I shoot 967fps with very little wind drift. I'm not a wind reader, there for not a very good shooter, but I'm learning to how to hit centers in the wind before I come to a match next year. Thanks for the compliment. Good day.

Newbie to bench rest here.

Was researching bench rest rigs (cos that's where all the big prize money is).

Specifically 100 yards pellet bench rest competition. Couldn't find any clear winners. Looks like a hefty investment when you add it all up (rifle, scope, tank, compressor? pellets, wind flags, rifle rest etc). Hoping to pay for quality. Pay once and cry once.

If you had to do it all over again. Which rifle and scope would you get? What caliber? (I know there are pros and cons. please list them to justify your decision)

FX? Red Panda? Skout? Daystate?

Sightron? Leupold? Weaver? March?
not so much the gun . This takes lots and lots of practice time and money . You need to shoot in all kinds of weather .

Thank you for all those who suggested specific rifles and scopes.

I'm going out on a limb and just roll the dice.

I'm going with either the Red panda or the FX Panthera (0.30 caliber seems to be the preferred caliber for the venue)

Scope = Sightron.

front rest = Caldwell the rock BR adjustable or a bipod

Wind flag = haven't really researched (DYI vs ?)

If I was just starting out I would get a quality gun that has few o rings and little knows to turn. You don't want to get overwhelmed by trusting to tune too many things. Get a good scope with the best glass you can afford, scopes are something that you won't have to upgrade. I prefer the RAW rifles, Sightron or Athlon scopes. You'll have to try or research the rest that best suits you. I prefer 2 piece rest but to each their own. My 2 cents

I have two pantheras in 30 caliber. Both are accurate enough that it's left up to the shooter to do his part. I use a Chadwell front rest and Chadwell hard pre filled medium rear bag in my shooting house near about everyday. The rest are left in the shooting house . For these air rifles you'll want a scope with some hashes, and holdover marks. I have a fixed 36x sightron that has a dot, I don't like it for the airguns. I been wanting to upgrade my collection with an m4. Probable get rid of one of my pantheras. If your looking, let me know,I shoot you some pictures and prices. I have bench rest scopes on all my 100 yards fx airguns. They are easy to use and work very well keeping the misses small.

@Hunter25
Thank you for the offer. Didn't a Panthera just won the Bench rest at Pyramyd air cup?

I'm still at the research phase.
Right now, My eyes and brain are captivated by the Daystate Red Wolf Grand Prix. I like the looks of the tactical stock. I'm intrigued by the electronic controls offered by the RW. Then there's the fully dedicated Bench rest stock.
I know Dgeesaman said his friend had a bad experience with Daystate RW..Still researching how widespread this issue is. With an established company like Daystate hopefully they offered some support...unless somehow the warranty was void?
.
For scope, I'm thinking the Sightron 10-50X

Then I need to fund all these dreams, rifle, scope, compressor, tank, wind flags, bench rest, pellets, chronograph...I'm slowly creeping up to the $9-10K range. So I'll need to convince my CFO to release the funds. in exchange for some Honey do list items?

I've had 2 Red / Blue Wolves and BOTH had electronic failures and had to be returned for repair. Another guy came to our N50 match and the electronics failed on his too. As beautiful and tempting as they are, never again, they are just too unreliable (at least in my experience).

You already have a great 100y gun. A Thomas air rifle won the EBR a couple of years ago. The Thomas HPX should shoot 100Y just fine. A .25 or.30 might buck the wind a little better, but a .22 can win at 100y.
I agree. The Thomas is a great rifle for sure. Problem is my eyesight stinks and I can’t see 22 holes at 100Y. I can barely see 30 holes. I’ve had several different 50 power scopes and it’s my eyes that are the weak link. It is what it is…

I have had two RW with zero issues. I live in Northern California, so shipping them back to AOA if a problem arises isn't a big deal. They absolutely pound straight out of the box. I just use one for field target now. With that said, for benchrest I would hands down go with a FX.

Are there any clubs in Northern California doing 100 yard benchrest?

I have an panthrra I 30 caliber for bench rest that's a delight to shoot. Problem is ammo. I go thru a tin in an hour or less, depending the tin count.when each shots making the shot before a little bit bigger,it's very easy to shoot a couple tins. I'm bored with it. I know what it'll do,and there's nothing to do to make it shoot better than it's shooting,so I want to sale it and start a new project gun. Anybody looking for a sub moa panthera then let me know. It has 580cc of air supply,so I get 3 mags out of it shooting 50grain pellets at 967fps. This gun hits centers.

I shoot regular Field Target out of Concord and Ione.

Where are you shooting FT?

Just trying to understand ...you would switch to FX Panthera? for benchers?
Anticipating some problems with the RW? or not the right caliber?

Right now Dana is running N50 bench rest out of Sunnyvale. I PM him about offering 100 yards bench rest....no response yet.
