108yrds and 110yd shots

Took these two iggys down at 108ydd and 110yds. The wind was blowing 5-7mph so it was messing with me on the left to right a for a few shots but one took a clean eye shot and the other took a neck shot and both were put down effectively!

Impact M3 shooting the JSB KO 10.03gr V3 at 990fps they were running 1060fps before and shooting very well but I experienced fliers and a lot more wasted air. So I turned down the valve to about 4 lines and there are no fliers and it is on point!

Wish I had something invasive to shoot other than sparrows and starlings.. shoot 1 and the rest disappear .. sometimes I can pop 1 and their buddy sticks around wondering what happened and I can get another.. iguanas see their buddy get shot and just seem to stand there waiting for their turn 🤔🤔

Yeah we have tons of invasive animals down here.

Sometimes they bolt if they are familiar with that is going on, otherwise they wait a bit or stand still.
Very impressive long range very accurate .177 slug shots! Awesome pics!
Thank you!

What barrel liner and length are you using? I don't have much luck with impacts and 177. Then again the last time I tried I was trying to do sub 12 stuff.

Allen
From what I have found/heard/read, the impact is not good to use as a sub12. Likely because there's a plenum.

I've shot dreamlines and streamline in .177 (no plenums) down to 9fpe and they have shot incredible even out to 40yds, I mean groups under a dime.

This is a 500mm superior liner 1:18 twist, I also have the cf sleeve on it.

Well, it looks like I will just have to try the 177 in higher power levels then!

😊

Awesome! I will say in my experience the .177 hades have always been a flop in pretty much any gun. Just about every heavy pellets from FX, H&N, Crosman. 9gr-13.43gr

Slugs from Jsb, Zan, and varmint Knockers have worked very well. (10-13gr) for 16gr I recommend 600mm barrel pushing then to at least 920fps and above

Apparently no liners are currently available. I just have one of the older 600mm barrels that actually had a 500mm liner in it (weird and funny how fx did that). I have seen some in the past. Any luck with the superior heavy liners?

Allen
No one has the superior liners on their own, they will only sell them with the tensioner kit, but I believe the heavy twist is a 1:16 so ot would shoot the 16gr slugs phenominally and should shoot the 20gr pretty good, especially id you're at a high altitude location where it behaves like a 1:14 twist
