I'm actually getting ready to head out to Roslyn, Long Island to compete in my local NRA Air Pistol Sectional championship. I compete in Sharpshooter class, results to follow.
I’ve shot 10m in both pistol and rifle for many years until Covid hit. The club halted matches as a result. I sold both guns losing interest and reinvested in my FT efforts. I had a lot of fun doing it and it did help me in the forced position of offhand shooting in FT. If I go back to it, it will have to be with borrowed equipment .
I wish, had a small group that got together once a week, unfortunately health issues over came my shooting friends and I have been looking for other interested parties since. I have a two station 10 m range in my downstairs, gets kind of boring shooting by one's self. I have even advertised in local gun shops and sporting goods stores, but that was well befire all the covid crap. Still interested if anyone from NW Ohio might be interested.
I've shot NRA air pistol on and off for years. It's very challenging. There are postal matches available, so you can shoot from home and mail in your scores.
Yes, several tins through my pistol and rifle in the home basement last 3 months. Most of my shooting in the winter months is on the 10m line. Bought competition grade guns this year, best shooting investment I have made in a long time.
Enjoy watching the ISSF matches on Youtube while I shoot, they make it look so easy.
Attempted to shoot the sectional, gun failure around 20 shots in. No score, trying to figure out what failed. I'm well versed in ripping apart a Steyr rifle, so the pistol shouldn't be that different. See my post in pistol section.
I used to shoot 10m in the basement and my pistol skill went up dramatically. Shooting a pb pistol outside two handed became much easier. Really upped my appreciation for shooting them
I am just starting out shooting 10m and have found it really challenging to be consistent. I have been target shooting cartridge guns before and it was fun, but these tiny 10m targets are really a challenge. T
My gun club shoots 10 meter matches in the winter in the range cafeteria. Every other Friday, easy set up, low key, bring food and enjoy good company and talk airguns. Good times. Springers to high end PCPs, everyone shoots, kids are free.
Most of my shooting is 10 in my basement, pistols and rifles. Springers and a couple Daisys. I can get outside once in a while, but only when neighbors aren’t around.
My 717 and HW30 get shot the most. I have a 853 that needs some trigger work.
10m pistol(s) in the basement, one hand unsupported. Started during Covid, got hooked. Consistent accuracy -- over ten shots, never mind 60 -- is very challenging.
I shoot 10 meter pistol (Mornini 162IE ) and rifle (FWB 600 ) at home because in the wilds of Kentucky , right now im trying to match up some FT matches with 10 meter matches for traveling
