12 oz Co2 quality?

I was watching a video on YouTube a couple of days ago and a statement made caused me to wonder about something that I had never considered. The video creator made the comment that Daisy 12 oz Co2 cartridges, in his opinion, are better quality than Crosman cartridges. He says Daisys are more consistent and that he has found an empty or two in several boxes of Crosmans. Anybody else found that to be true? I've bought Co2 for 50 years and never noticed a difference. I have always bought which ever ones I see on the shelf when I shop. Is there another brand that is better than Daisy or Crosman?

Back in the mid-seventies I recall an occasional dead one. That was when a five-pack of Crosmans was all I could afford or find at the time and it was anger-making.

Nowadays they all hold their gas (unlike me), so I guess we're getting our money's worth. I would like to check that video out. If one brand of cartridge is better than the others, we'd all like to know.

Cheers,

J~

I don't remember which video I was watching. The vid was about a particular Co2 gun and the video creator made the comments about Co2 as a side note. I had never seen a video by him before. Chances are he didn't know what he was talking about.

I can't really see where there would be any significant difference between them. 12 grams of CO2 is 12 grams of CO2, so unless one brand contains more than another or has special additives there shouldn't be any difference, and I really doubt there are any additives since CO2 is so widely used for carbonation and additives would pose a risk of poisoning people.
