First let me premises this, I just had to shoot so.... I set up my target @ 65yds, set my portable bench up inside my walkout basement, cracked open slider about 4” and shot! Now for those who think this is easy or cheating ( maybe for personal comfort! ) but for shooting groups not good! temp inside 67deg.- outside 12deg.(did I mention snowing) I literally had to turn scope down to 20x, then contend with MIRAGE that was unbelievable... literally had to wait for the wind to blow through open door to snap the MIRAGE/BOIL! To even see the bull? Not to mention no wind flags I could see!, so groups don’t do justice to gun I’m still impressed considering conditions... BUT I HAD TO SHOOT! Top group group 25.4’s 20 shots, second 10 with 15.9’ on low power, Honestly probably been better just to move the whole mess outside (for groups) except feeling trigger is somewhat important for this...

I'm right there with you nomo only it's even colder here in MN. Crack the patio door and let'em fly. Most days in Jan. I have to crank the scope down to 10X or the heat/cold mirage makes me crazy but I shoot every day. I stretched the FWB300 out to 35yds today. That gun never ceases to amaze me and it doesn't care how cold it is. Don't move outside! These are the months when our states try to kill us off. Don't make it easy for them. Uj

That was with modded mag.!

I'm happy to hear it! Mine is great now too 👍🏻

Lol, still find myself struggling to trust the mag completely after months of it being a complete waste of pellets, so it still brings a giddy smile every group I shoot since the fix 🎉

Can just imagine what your groups will look like in good weather - I look forward to seeing them!

Cheers

Greg

Thanx Macros!, I tell u what those groups inside/outside? Were nothing to brag about just shooting, But inside @ only 16.5 yds!, the Red Wolf using Mag. & 25.4’s Is as accurate as my Tm with 10.3’s at same distance! So that’s a very good sign! ( my Tm w/10.3’s is easily my most accurate gun I own when u factor out environmental conditions...! )

Jsb 25.4’s RD shooting about 950fps, this is factory settings!, I have no programer, 18.1’s shooting @ 890fps, here’s my issue with the jsb18.1’s first tin (from an old lot) shot excellent... friend give me some of his from a different lot# and they wouldn’t shoot for crap?, initially thought dirty barrel, tried with and without Moderater no go? So started inspecting pellets from old lot vs. newer new lot rear inner skirt and thickness quite significantly different? Seen this before especially in jsb .177 13.4’s which I shoot the most of any pellet! So you tell me?

Well I agree head size usually effects accuracy the most, and also every barrel has it’s own preferences! But I measured these and were same between lots .001 +\- but I’ve shot enough to know that these would not even “group” not just a larger group! I mean shot gun pattern @ 16.5yds??? Side note: head size on the newer tin were on the the smaller side of scale, but not excessively!, maybe I was already at the small Dia. of what this barrel prefers? I know from my past experience with LW POLY barrels they prefer larger Dia. Heads!

My 0.22 RW HP is a LASER with the JSB Monster re-designed.

I shifted to mid-power and loaded some 18.1g and it couldn't hit the paper which was befuddling.

I was about to give up when I tried a new tin and they shoot perfect!

Something is wacky with the one tin.

I need to get out the scale and calipers and try to find out what is really in the tin that fails.
