My 12 yr old daughter just joined my local gun club as a junior member. She can' shoot .22 rifle and air rifles there . What would you suggest as a good first gun for me to get her for accurate target practice?

If she can then I would suggest the Diana Chaser. It is a CO2 rifle/pistol. She could easily handle it and develop good shooting technique.

If you want to stay in the springer family, then the Stoeger S3000 is what my grandson’s (X3’s) got from me.

If she might be a good shooter skip the junk. A Crosman Challenger would be excellent and I believe can be used in a sanctioned match. An CZ/AA200 would be great -might have to purchase used? Club rules? NRA shoots?

She CAN shoot air files. That was a stray '...sorry. She can also shoot a .22 rim fire rifle there.

I get where you are coming from, but she is just starting out and I don't know if she will want to do this long term. The club actually provides match grade rifles for club practice times and competitions. She just asked to be able to go shoot with me for fun outside of that.

Do you mean the HW30S or the HW30? I have been trying to figure out the difference and if it really matters.

HW30 and Beemen R7 are the same rifle, different importer. If you wonder if you need one, just go ahead and get it. Everyone needs an R7, you will need a 2nd to shoot with her. Well built, comfortable ergonomics, easy to cock, accurate, and enough velocity to plink out to 50 yards or so in the yard. Basically the reasons most of us got into airguns in the first place.
The HW30S comes equipped with the famous Rekord trigger. The HW30 features a simpler non-adjustable trigger.

You should absolutely get it with the Rekord trigger. I didn’t even know they made it without it.

Thank you for sharing that. It is good to know that my daughter should be able to handle the rifle without issue and I will be looking for the Rekord trigger.
