Shot 1) Cutting a card (mostly) in half at 25 yards, the card was a joker card and I just so happened to cut right through his head (not intended).
Shot 2) Eurasian dove, 50~ yard, shot just grazed his skull enough to leave it mostly intact while removing all matter within.

Intentionally taking the head off a fly at ten meters and leaving the thorax (with wings), legs and abdomen still perched there. It was a boring day, so I tacked a piece of bologna to the target and waited for customers to come by. With a QB77 with a L/W 5mm barrel, a custom stock, bulk fill mod and 10X Bushnell scope. 5mm Crosman brown-box Premier pellets. Unfortunately, that was well before digital photography was a thing. It'd have made a bitching avatar...

Took an iguana down 214yds with my bejamin Akela shooting AA 15.9gr 5.52 pellets around 930fps about 3 yards ago, it took 4 shots to find out my hold before I got it.

for me it was just a practice shot day with the 30 yard challenge target . ended up shooting a perfect card 240 and 24 X's , didn't even realize till i was taking the paper down from the stand .

Close to 50 years ago, at my in laws. I shot a crow out of a tree at about 60-65 yards over the garden, using my FWB 124D with an aperture sight.

I recently popped a chipmunk in the back of the head at 50 yards. In and of itself not terribly remarkable. The wonder of it was that I had just retuned and gathered dope with a 35 yard zero the previous day and it was a cold bore shot with my Dreamtac. I had not yet shot out that far and was relying on my calculations to connect with the critter. Well, I was impressed, anyway.

From a rested position.... .22 Condor SS - 18gr JSB - dot and a half holdover - 93yds , laser measure - Grackle DOA. Impressive....yeah.... LUCKY... more likely

Squirrel at 175 yards, rabbit 30 seconds later at 178 yards with my FX Boss shooting JSB 44.75gr PELLETS, not slugs. My pal Tony P. (Pesty3782) was there to witness. Both Squirrel & rabbit were juveniles presenting a smaller target. I KNEW my gun was capable. This proved to me that MY capabilities were growing. Next most memorable was my second 5 shot group ever with Centercut's (Mike B) new Panthera .25. (3" gong @ 200 yds)

If we're talking about shots that impressed the shooter, mine happened a few years ago when I was squirrel hunting and I happened upon a young raccoon. The coon took to a tree and was playing ring-around-the-rosies on the tree trunk and I couldn't get a head shot because I couldn't see enough of her head. So I made a quick decision to shoot a foot (hugging the tree trunk) to make her expose her head. It actually worked. Two shots in a relatively quick succession that resulted in the kill shot that I wanted. And If I remember it correctly, I shot offhand from close range for both shots. Funny thing is I missed my first shot from a kneeling position. Here's a link to the thread with photos and the whole story written close to the time it occurred.

I've not made any especially memorable shots with air rifles, mostly squirrels at under 50 yards. I used to do a lot of groundhog hunting in the NC/VA mountains. I killed one at a laser measured 550 yards. The hog was on a steep hill, and it rolled about 20 feet. As soon as it stopped, a crow landed beside it and was ready for a snack. Since I had the windage dope, I made the crow explode too. Not spectacular, but my best recollection. I was shooting a custom 6mmX284 Win. It was a very impressive, but inefficient cartridge. The barrel lasted only 1000 rounds until the throat was burned up. Maybe not very impressive, but the best I've got.

We were shooting shotgun shell hulls at 50 yards from a bench rest when my friend bet a tin of pellets that I couldn't hit one OFF HAND.
I took the bet. Figured I had a chance - calm conditions, and I was dialed in for the distance. I nailed it!
Being cocky (and pretending to be blasé) I suggested 2 tins of pellets for the next shot. Playing the odds, he accepted.
Nailed the second shell dead center (much to my surprise LOL!) so I was up 3 tins of pellets
My friend, figuring that I'd used up all my luck (and that he would break even) suggested 3 tins for the 3rd consecutive hit.
Nailed that one as well! Neither of us could believe it!
Done betting, I missed the next 5 shots before I nicked a shell hard enough to knock it over. Now, THAT was more realistic!
Told him that it was just luck and I wouldn't hold him to the bet. He laughed and said that he would pay up because he would have taken the pellets if I missed. Fair is fair I guess.

My most memorable shot was when I was about 16 or so my friend and I were were small game hunting with 22s. We were on the topside of a field and on the bottoms idea we spotted a rabbit sitting the dirt farm road. My friend had a bolt shot repeater with a scope and I had a single s hot bolt action with iron sights I will guess that the distance was about 125 yard or so.My friend knelt down and took a few shots .We could see puffs of dust from the misses.After several shots the rabbit started to run and I shouted out jokingly between the eyes . I took my one shot at running rabbit and it flipped over dead .We ran down to get it only to be surprised that is eyeballs were about hanging out of its head That was over 50 years ago but a memory to last a lifetime

I got my first two airguns in 1997, a Beeman R7 in .177 and a Theoben SLR 98 in .22. A friend and I went into the little 1 1/2 acre patch of woods behind my house in search of squirrels, with the SLR 98. We hear one and start looking for it. I spotted it way up in a 50-60 foot tall oak tree. It was almost directly above us. All I could see was his eyes and a little bit of the top of his head sticking above the crotch of the tree. I found a tree very nearby to lean against and took the shot. Seemed like forever for him to hit the dead leaves on ground. It was DRT.

I had a groundhog mound 285 yards up this power line. I had only tested the gun out to 220 on my range. Took a couple rabbits in the 200 ish range hitting exactly where I aimed. So one day I walked up to that mound and sat three crab apples on the mound. Picked all three off after a few fine tuning clicks. The gun sat for nearly a week with the scope set for the 285 yard shot. One day I was in the yard and saw movement up on the power line so I grabbed the gun, got set up and drilled it. The .25 slug going 1,038fps delivered a very audible crack. The hog buckled and ran 3 feet to its hole. A day later my buddy was reviewing the footage and said I hit it right where I aimed but something didn’t look right. He talked me into trying to dig it up. The next day I did dig it up. It didn’t go down the hole far. Here’s what’s interesting. My entry hole was right in the pocket behind the shoulder. But the slug was under the skin in the gut area on the other side. So I basically dropped a mortar round on it. It was like I shot it from a tree stand because of the poor trajectory. Decided to probably only shoot birds or really small stuff that far away moving forward. Here it is right before I squeezed. Impressive shot but probably best left to a powder burner.

As a 10 year old, I shot a sparrow in flight with a sling shot at about 15 yards. Then at 16, with my Benjamin 317, I hit a shiny tin can in field at about 100 yards (rough guess - it was faaaaar), I couldn't believe it. I held over a lot, adjusted for a slight breeze, pulled the trigger and waited, then ping! I had to run over to it and find it, then I admired the dent for a few minutes, lol.
Most recently, about 2 years ago, I shot a starling at 102 yards, off hand with my Impact .30. It was the third try.

Drinking coffee one morning with the Diana 34. My first air rifle. I had just got it a few days prior. Had about 100 shots through it at a 25 yard target.
Saw a grackel at the top of a pine tree. It was way out there. I figured what the heck. I stood up and shot offhand about 3 dots below the crosshair. He tumbled out of the tree like he had been hit with a brick. Feathers in a cloud around him.
Went inside and got the rangefinder. 83 yards. I was dumbfounded. I figured it was a lot closer and had no idea how much to hold over anyway.
I've shot a hundred grackels since then. I can't say I've ever hit another one that far out. I've tried to hit a few in that same tree in a desperate attempt to recreate that shot. I don't think I've come close enough to ruffle a feather yet.
