Crosman 1701P 1/2-20 Threaded Adapter?

Edit: Decided to order the 2240 threaded adapter from Buck Rail today. I’ll update the post once I get it to show whether it works or not. Got a new to me 1701P. But unfortunately this thing is way too loud for backyard use.

Is there a 1/2-20 adapter that’s out there so I can slap a moderator on the end?

all i could se from using factory parts is open up the front sight housing so the barrel will slip though and use a Crosman adapter
i assume the barrel is 7/16 in OD
you would lose what a 1.5 in sight radius or do the same thing and get a longer LW barrel
now the question will the tube cap come off with a moderator in place

Using a reflex sight, so the factory iron sight isn’t a worry for me.

Guess I should check to see if the 2240 adapter would still allow me to access the fill nipple.

And yes, want to do threaded as I have a Silent Thunder Ordnance moderator that’s great for making things quiet.

well if you can take the front sight off there is no problem at all
Buck Rail makes an adapter but still with any adapter mod setup you might have a fill cap problem

I actually messaged them today and they told me they don’t have anything that will work for this pistol. So maybe they mean nothing that won’t interfere will filling it?

okay but i did see one on Ebay but the barrel on the pistol is a 7/16 inch LW 10.01 inch barrel the same barrel as used on a 2300s

Then I don't know what's wrong with mine. It literally sounds like a .22 short rimfire going off. It's literally a very loud and sharp crack when fired.

What's that? Speak up! Maybe I am going deaf or it is the carpeting and furniture downstairs that is muffling it. I have a 20 pound duct seal target box so no impact noise. I am remodeling the downstairs to tile so I am very interested in your review.

The 1701p is a sweet pistol for the money with so many aftermarket everythings available for it. I have a Williams rear sight on mine but will be migrating to a red dot soon.

The sound doesn’t personally bother me as it sits….However, I have a couple neighbors who I’d prefer they have no idea what I’m doing in my backyard.

Well, for the 2240 adapter in today. The adapter allowed me to get a DonnyFL Tanto on it (just barely) but I can’t fill the gun. It would require actually removing the adapter completely to fill, as the adapter is super close to the full nipple.

Sooo, just emailed TKO to find out if their setup would allow me to leave the moderator on the gun and still be able to fill it.
