Crosman 1701p is excellent

Out of the box, 7.4g CP @477fps with 3fps deviation over 5 pellets, 1/4inch groups at 10m, backyard friendly and a 6oz trigger. I was having so much fun I never did try any other pellet.

Might be the best out of the box gun I have ever shot.

Not sure if I even need to tune it.

I have monster paws, so it could use bigger grips, but hardly a deal breaker.

I highly recommend!!!!

I've almost bought one ot a 1720 a few times, just not a 177 fan anymore AND single shot kills me. I usually do pesting and hunting, so I need an accurate mag fed gun so I don't spill my pellets in the field lol.

I get that. These are totally unsuitable for hunting or pesting. Not enough power to begin with. Although, if I were to get a mouse in my basement - and he would agree to pose in front of my pellet trap . . .

With the carbine stick and a little tweaking, they'd make a great barn bird buster. It would take me all day to get a dozen birds though, since I'd drop every other pellet I tried to load, and load half of them backwards anyways. Did I mention I don't do 177? Lol

Yes indeed, one of the very best PCPs to have, easy enough to hand pump, and very accurate,I shoot mine at 25 yards,I expect it to do 1/2" or less groups and get over 40 shots or so.

I like it very well. It’s a Vector Veyron 3-12x44. Has very good glass to my untrained eyes. Fine reticle for target work, and illuminated center dot.

Just got a 1701p about a week ago and it isn't very pellet picket at all mine seems to prefer pellets in the 8 gr range. Makes me look like a better shooter than I really am.
