I'm new to shooting a scoped PCP air pistol so am hardly qualified to speak on the subject but will share what little I think I know. A rubber eye cup on the ocular end of the scope will help keep your eye and scope aligned if you press your forehead and cheek gently against it. From what I am told a firm rubber compound is best but I could not find that so bought a cheap eye cup off Flea Bay for $8. I wear glasses and it works for me. Made a noticeable difference in acquiring and keeping the target in the field of view and accuracy. Obviously find the pellet your gun likes best. My 1720T loves 10.34 gr AA. Comfortable and stable are oxymorons! I am still finding the most comfortable shooting posture while maintaining near rifle like stability. I found that sitting on my stool at a right angle to the target with my arms crossed on my knees with the butt of the grip resting on top of my left arm just below the elbow and the end of the gun on my bipod to work best. Facing the target and holding the butt of the gun in the air is no good. Cameron Kerndt built my gun and provided me with a printed LDC that helps it be even more backyard friendly than a stock 1720T. I attached a bubble level to my gun to help me learn to hold it vertical and not cant it. I can't shoot from a bucket. Too high. Get a short 4 legged stool and cut a little off the bottom of each leg until it's the perfect height. And that's all I think I know, lol.
