.177 a 600mm or 700mm barrel and why?

I was in your position couple years ago and this where I ended today with .22 and .25 ;)

I dont know why 700mm would be too long for slugs for a .177. If you were setting up for pellets then yes 700mm is way longer than needed for full power pellet shooting. If I didnt care about over all length I would go 700 mm. If you want it a little shorter go 600 mm. I feel 700 mm gives a little more flexibility in tuning than 600mm and shorter.

From the vids I have seen of .177 used at long ranges 150yds or more they all used 700mm and no length wont be an issue. Just something about wacking a starling at 150yds with a .177 slugs that I would love to do...

Then I would go with 700mm. Easier to tune for high power which is what you want with slugs most of the time.
