N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

Nice!! Wish I had easy access to to a place to shoot beyond 100y. Backyard maximum is around 120y and that’s already pushing it in terms of shooting at a weird angle through a bunch of trees :)
Yeah this particular place I could shoot 500yds safely. There's another I could shoot even further. 120yds is still good though! Most golf course I work here I can shoot 150-300yds safely.

Yeah no complaints. Getting a target to the 120y spot and moving stuff around to see/shoot it is a chore though and only possible when shooting outside, meaning not in winter :) winter max out of basement window is 75y… I can stick a target to one particular tree if I want to do ~100 in winter but it’s kind of annoying to get there so…

Understandable!

You all and your puny .177's shooting slugs. Dont you know .177 is for pellets? :ROFLMAO:

For a while now, I've had a wild hair for a .177 slug gun. No need or niche need here, just want to have it to have it.

Still working on a .17 Condor trying to make it love slugs. Going to lap out the choke and see if that helps. Best I can get now is .9 for 5 shots at 50 yards.

Have read this thread over a few times, hoping to find something to deter me from my curiosity on .177 slugs, but all I found was a group of enablers.

So today, I spied a P35x in the crack house (classifieds). Just did the deal. I'm not sure whether to thank or curse all of you!

Hahahah glad to help :) good look with the endeavor, I’m loving it. And when there’s no wind I’m actually hitting where I want ;)

A friend of mine and a member here John had an idea to shoot slugs, by modifying his Avenger. We purchased a STX 700 mm FX barrel in 177 with 1 in 16 twist. We then built a bushing for the receiver and installed the barrel. It is shooting 15 gr slugs pretty good. I'm getting ready to send it back to him and he may be able to show what it can actually do. I didn't shoot it that much. Pic one bushing and barrel. 2- 50yd group NSA 15gr slug. circle is about 2 inch , little better than MOA.

You sure about that?

I’m good either way.
It's not a problem for me, I already ordered it and paid for it. I will let you guys know when it gets here!

Where did you manage to find a 1:16 twist fx liner for .177?
