N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

Nice! Just know with the U2C you will.be limited in poop count if you want the 10gr slugs to go over 900fps. I believe Derrick Wall said you can get the 13gr to go 910fps but you'd get like 25-30 shots. That was his latest tune on a compact U2
That’s good info!! 25-30 shots with 13gr is a bit meager… well, I’m a sucker for Airguns so I ordered the 600mm in .177 CF from Krale (cause I have high hopes that I’ll find a buyer easily in case I don’t like it @JaceSpace1369 ;)).

Lol you'll end with a .30 if you order that from them. Right Jace?

Well, trying to order I should say, constantly giving me “payment cancelled” error but I see the pending charge on the card…

You won't regret it then. @mercado had a Uragan 1 .177 and @zx10wall had it tuned for him to shoot 15gr slugs at 990 and 16gr slugs at 970fps

The picture I loaded only shows 1:24 for the STX Standard in .22 not .177 though.

Maybe you're right on 177.
I'm looking on SpAW,UA and I'm going to check others. But .177 500 and 600 STX superior and superior heavy are available and in stock. However, I'm not seeing anything specifying the standard superior for .177 is different. Maybe it is..
Which is confusing because they offer the STX superior Heavy in .177 too.

So I'm not sure. Maybe a call or UA or SPAW will clarify for me. I'll do that later as now I'm not sure.

And you are correct.

The standard 177 is 1:18
The heavy is 1:18. The difference is the choke and the grooves .

I always assumed that if the offering for heavy was 1:18 the same as all other calibers it only stands to make sense the standard would be the same as other calibers..

Consider me corrected and wrong

"Ahh but have you considered THIS 1:18 is more 1:18 than the other 1:18, gimme yo money!"

The labeling is stupid. "Superior Choked, and superior Choked, but slightly less choked with a deeper cut groove." Would be more honest

From a few posts on this forum from 2021 state that FX were going with 1:18 twist fro all available .177 calibers. The STX superior heavy liner is still a 1:18 just as the stx superior but something is different, not sure if it's just not choked, or what. But you can only get it if you buy the 700mm tensioned barrel kit, not as a stand alone with is lame. So all .177 barrels should be 1:18

I agree. My point was just that with FX rifles .177 liners can do what the other calibers do. No different.
I own or have owned a lot of .177 PCP and spring piston rifles. I've played with a couple of FX rifles which would be my last choice. I would choose either Air Arms, Daystate, RAW, FWB, Brocock, Kalibrgun and not necessarily in that order.

I have seen some good things about the Air Arms in terms of accuracy and power. Yet not any information pertaining to slugs. Not sure about all BRKs, but the ghost doesn't shoot slugs. Not sure about the rest of their line, Kalibrgun mags are not good for slugs unless you shoot longer heavy slugs. Idk anything about the RAW or FWB so I can't comment.

Sure. Preferences are preferences. I wasn't extolling the virtue of FX over all others. Just mentioned that the .177 liners work just the same as the liners in all others.

I love the Dreamline, personally. I think it's a fantastic gun at a good price point.
But, I also love much more affordable guns that I have for .177 as well.
