N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

With .22 600mm?! That would be awesome! Only one way to find out I guess :)
Yup!

@Sicumj Put the FX liner in my avenger. Haven't shot it at distance yet but i did get a chrono reading. I installed a hammer spring for a .22/.25 avenger in my gun and im pushing these 15gr NSA's at 1000fps making 33ftlbs.
With the standard 177 spring, it was 950fps for 30ftlbs. I was shocked that the .22/.25 spring only added 50fps. I'm wondering if the 12cc factory plenum is holding it back, so I ordered a larger plenum. The .22 cal gun is rated (on pyramids site) to make 34ftlbs out of the box, so that might be all it has in the factory configuration.

The first barrel we tried was a powder burner liner for a .17hm2. It had a 1:9 twist. It looked promising from Sicumj's testing, but he would only get about 5 good shots before the barrel would foul out. He took a pic of the barrel and it looks pretty bad....

17 cal powder burner barrels are really rare right now. No one has anything in stock so we went with the FX liner.
I saw your post on what did you do airgun related today, and I'm wondering why you're only able to stabilize ten grain slugs, when that gun comes with 1:16 twist barrel. Based on Dale (Varmint Knockers) that barrel loves .1771 slugs, which he makes, also based on @RabbitofCaerbannog experience that also seems to be the case.

You are pushing that gun a bit hard. It's a .177. The regulator isn't the best. But that 1:16 should be capable of A LOT more. Have you tried heavier? Last time I checked NSA are .178

Try a 177 or 1771 go lo medium high.

Id buy the vk 13.5 .1771. also Griffin .1770 13flat 16flat. Or the tried and true mk3 10.03 kos.

I have never been able to find what the factory barrel twist rate is. Do you have a confirmed source on the twist rate? I have tried Dales's 177 slugs. I have some 13gr ones left over im going to try in the FX liner. I have also tried some griffins, nothing over 10ish grans worked. The only slug that worked was the 10.03gr KO.

Yeah, but you have to make sure you get the right ones from dale, because he makes .178 and .1771. But he only specifies .178 on ebay
