I will relay my results asap! Removing the barrel was easy peasy!Looking forward to your result!! Maybe I gotta ship my barrel to your buddy
Also, got the springs!!! Thanks man!!
I got them from @mercado he's got them from griffin, I guess he still has the dies for these but doesn't sell them on the market. They fly great though!Hmm boat tail 177 slugs those are different.
I will take a picture of the chamber today before I drop it off.I've looked at manny chambers that appear to have no throat at all. I don't know what the ultimate degree would be. We will know more as custom jobs are finished and results reported. Keep us in the loop please when finished and you are satisfied ot not on your project. Many thanks.
This is what I got so far, I also slugged the barrel and the drives seem to be somewhere between .176 and .1765. The slugged slugs were .177 16gr griffins and you can see the groves are more pronounce on some, rather than all of them.I've looked at manny chambers that appear to have no throat at all. Great to hear! Yeah my thoughts are the same. I will still go to the shop.Show him the barrel and show him the slugs and see if he thinks it's worth doing or not. Given that we go way back, it's not like he's making much money off of doing it, so it wouldn't skew his judgment.I’m not sure I would touch that. Why fix what isn’t broke?
and the springs made it here yesterday
What's the technique to "X" them? Looks like it's tapped with a Phillips Driver.Love a little .177 High Power rig !!!
15-16 grain pellets at @ 1060 or 15g slugs in the 1020's is one formidable Ice Pick !!
Want slugs to expand better ? Just X em

do it! i’m waiting on a .177 akela from airgunrevisions. i too have been thinking of the .177 and have been waiting for them to come back in stock since i didn’t want to spend more than 250$ on my next purchase. now i have 3 guns, .177, .22, and .25! happy camper hereSo whenever I pick the cal for a new rifle, I don’t even consider .177. I mean, there is whole countries out there being sad about the fact that that’s what they’re stuck with… I’ve got plenty of space to plink so why cripple myself (or so I thought…).
Yet, I find myself thinking about a .177 more and more due to “some” people’s influence (not looking at anyone in particular @JaceSpace1369 @RabbitofCaerbannog)… I am almost caving in so maybe talk me out of it? If you want to talk me (even deeper) into it that’s fine as well, ideally with a recommendation for a rifle in this caseSince it’ll be an experiment of sorts for me I’d probably want to get a used medium tier one first to see how I like it, should shoot slugs though since I’d like to use it for small critters (besides plinking)… Thanks in advance!
Better expanding slugsWhat's the technique to "X" them? Looks like it's tapped with a Phillips Driver.
Shooting JSB KO 13.4 @ around 872 fps (22.7 FPE) I seem to get too many head shot pass throughs!
