.177 over 50fpe possible?? exp mods i need help! Hatsan/Fx/others

The Hatsan BT65 is capable . If you can get your hands on an older unmolested one from the used market jump on it. The problem is to get the right twist rate in a barrel for the longest bullet that will fit the magazine . The 17.7:1 twist they use might be good for bullets up to 20 grain but they will have to be moving real fast. If you do get the BT65 , you can get rid of your gym membership . It is one heavy rifle

thanks

theres there’s a lot of information out there on the BT65 . Though their popularity has run its course a few years ago. I had two . One in .25 caliber and the other in .22 caliber . As long as you get the FAC version , the power will be there in .177. Easily adjustable hammer spring adjuster, the only thing that might need to be done is to open the transfer port and port in the barrel. Another plus is the removable air tubes . I had a few extras for going in the field hunting. The wood stocked versions are the better of the two . Really nice walnut. If you google BT65 power mods , I had quite a few posts about the .25 that I had tuned to over 100 FPE .

Find an original Career 707 ( 3 power setting, high, higher and highest) and most had "golden" barrels.

I got over 1400fps from a stock Career 707 in .177 with light pellets when they first arrived. It prolly could exceed 50fpe, BUT not for very many shots with accuracy too.

I doubt any over the counter rifle will come close to 30 shots at 50fpe with pellets. Remember, most regulated setups wont get many high powered shots without an added air source.
