.177 pellet for 100y springer recommendations?

So I finally got to 100y with my .177 pcp rifle.
Now I want to try with my springer😅🤷‍♂️
Winchester 1100SS : for info sake; no tuning, just added a moderator(had to remove front sight to do so, so no irons)
Gunna have to debate on my scope options for what I have on hand... bc I know she kicks and the barska I was using is ...ehhhh...maybe if I change rings.
But projectiles....what weight are you all using?
Should I use the same ones as my pcp?...
All thoughts and comments welcome🎩🤙

100 yards with a Winchester 1100ss...Springer, first, how did your PCPs manage that range?I would use the heavier pellets and try 50 yds. first. If you can get under 2" groups at 50 yds, go to 75 yds,3" groups there then go to 100 yds.....I think you are using the limits with that springer at 75 yds....
Good Luck...and a lot of angles

I like to do it that way . I shoot 50 most all the time but bumping up to 75 then 100 not a bad plan
100 yards ,.177 winnie , i would go with the best it shoots . and a very calm day .
Yup any wind that far will test you patients for sure. It can play havoc on a .177.

If I was going for 100 yards, it would be with the HN Baracuda Match 10.65 grain pellet shot from my HW97K. Good luck!

I don't shoot groups at 100 yards, but I will shoot beer cans and 16oz soda bottles. With the wind down I can hit them pretty consistently once I find my hold over. Even had my wife's girlfriend hitting a beer can pretty consistently at 100 with my scoped HW30. I've used 7.33s and 8.44 JSBs in that gun at that range. It's fun as all hell but I wouldn't dare shoot groups that far. Especially with that light a gun.

Can't beat the price at Walmart, under $7 for 500. My .22 flash loves them, accurate out to 70yrds. Now if they only made em in .25
Not here anymore the .177 cost more the the .22. Cphp .177 now just under $8. .22 still same cheap 6.40somthing.. they near double the .177 price ..

I plan to sight it in at 50 again. Was doing fine with the winchester dome 7.5g (rather cheap and was just brand matching)but I know a better/different pellet will most likely do better

From your post I had to wonder if you're a glutton for punishment...

Then realized your tolerance for my BS answers that question in no uncertain terms.;)😂
You are mistaken my good sir😅🤙 I am a sucker for trying new things/doing what is said that can't be done.
After my last cancer surgery and re learning to walk for the 3rd time in my life; Dr said: you will never be able to lift over 30 lbs.👀🤣I laughed inside and said just you watch. I've never had a 6 pack stomach before...I do now🥴even though it's crooked with a nasty scar down the middle of me. And I know for daaaang sure I can lift 30 lbs....my lady weighs 98lbs and I can carry her around like a toy🤣
Must be that farm boy in me: I can TRY to do anything and probably will. And proving someone wrong in the process is just the spice of life🎩🤙

My niece is a gifted springer shooter. I even asked her how she does it because I just can’t match her. She said I don’t think about it, I just shoot. She can hold surprisingly tight groups out to around 65 yards with my TX200 shooting 8.44’s. But at 75 yards her gifts didn’t matter anymore. Maybe there was an insect buzzing around the target because that’s all the wind it takes to mess up a .177. One hundred yards is a serious poke with a .177 PCP. With a springer? Good heavens. Like the guy above said, if your gun is accurate at realistic ranges with a Baracuda Match, that’s the pellet I would try when swinging for the fence.

I'm not gunna be mad in the least bit if I don't even come close. I'll be mad at myself for not trying though.
My .177 pcp is quite the machine. Now I'm wondering if anything else in my arsenal can even touch close to its performance.

Good luck! And do keep us in the loop......and as always, without pictures it never happened;)

I have tried at 100 yards with H+N FTTs from a 12 ft lb HW97. It took all the elevation my Leupold scope has. The wind was a nightmare. If you've ever been to Tejas, you know 15mph is a nice calm day. I had to wait for the stillest moment and it would still hit the far side of my vision in the scope. With some practice I could roll cambell soup cans, but not put together a target for the NUAH club here. I don't have the neighbors pasture to practice in like I did then. If I were to attempt it again, I would make sure the wind was directly in my face or at my back.

On my last outing i tried the 10.43 Gr heavy pellets ( from ait arms but made by JSB as i understand )
This was 75 M distance, and the 2" shoot N see target i was aiming at was not terrible hard to hit, i am for sure encouraged and will try this again on a perfect ( wind ) day.
But i do generally shoot slugs when i shoot far for the .177 caliber.

Please note all those far misses, well generally from tweaking on the rifle earlier

PS: shooting my 700 mm Maverick with the heavy liner here Speed as i recall just shy of 900 FPS
