My non scientific thoughts .... SPIN RPM as faster one shoots any said pellet / slug, greater is the RPM at exit of muzzle.
Being JSB Beasts as well the H&N Sniper magnums are so long and a typical barrel in .177 is @ 1-18 twist there about, the length of these pellets simply won't stabilize at lower speeds most PCP's are capable of shooting them at.
I've been fortunate in having 3 different Balance valve equipped high output PCP's capable in sending .177 cal 15-16 grains quite easily into the 1000+ fps realm and remain efficient doing so.
