N/A .177 recommendations?

P35 is almost the same as the bullshark. Both have mid instead of rear cocking. The P35X does too but adds a longer barrel, a wood stock, and a 60cc plenum. If you want a 30-40 fpe 177 I'd get the P35X (or Remington Spirit X) but for a 15-20 fpe gun the P15, P35, or Bullshark will work great. I have a p35-177 and it's killed 20 squirrels for me so far.
i moved to hawaii.. so no more squirrels for me
i’m liking that p35x. can the p35 be modded for more powah? i like to keep guns short

I drilled out the passage from the valve to the barrel port and the barrel port in my P35-25. I think that added around 10fps or less. I added an external added plenum to the same gun and gained about 40 fps. I turned the regulator up as much as the hammer can open which wasn't much. Was 50 fps or so worth the effort, I'm not sure it was. That gun is most accurate with JSB 34 grain and I was trying to get them to 800 fps. It sometimes makes it but usually it's a little short. I may also try reducing the diameter of the valve but I want a replacement on hand and haven't located one.

So there are things that can be done but I see no need to modify my P35-177 or 22. Both will shoot their favorite pellet over 800 fps (the 177 will easily shoot 10.6 gr over 900 fps).

got any remmendations on a .177 pcp platform similar to an akela in performance, size and maybe lighter in weight? noise is secondary. i make my own moderators.
Louder(ping) but lighter the p35x is an awesome choice. Shoots 10.03gr v3 jsb slugs at 1030fps out of the box and can be hammer adjusted easily. You get 60shots from a 250b fill

M60b (and Zellos) are quite different. Much newer. Small plenum but with a bottle much more air. Barrel is long with Zellos the longest. Really big magazine. Heavier but not heavy as airguns are these days. My guess is the P35X can make the most power because of the much larger plenum. But that might not be true since the m60 apparently has more hammer spring force and can handle a higher reg pressure. The fact that the m60 is available in 30 and 357 caliber suggests more power.

If budget is an issue find a used daystate Huntsman. A Weihrauch HW100 with the long barrel is also a go choice. The denominator for these two brands are they are well made, accurate and you don`t read much about them on AN unless its good gradings. Good choice on caliber. The .177cal is a stinger and with the right pellets/slugs has proved to be a killer on larger game like racoons, small pigs, iguanas and whatever that presents itself. If you can find EUN JIN(Seneca) pellets like the 16, 17 and 19grain pellets and push them into +30 ft/ibs you have a smasher. However the HW100 will do about 23 ft/ibs only. Here I believe the Snowpeak P35 is tunable to reach very high energy levels for a moderate price. Good luck.

I have a huntsman revere regulated Safari. Even used it would be more than a p35x or Marauder, xm1, M25, m30b, p15, pp750, beeman commander, stormrider/900r, I have a hatsan AT44 it performs better than I expected. Lots of decent budget choices. Fit and finish on the daystate is top notch, it's beautiful and perfect. But none of that is necessary for someone who just wants to get into shooting vermin.

Just my ¢.02.

Weirhauch and daystate are great guns. Hell yeah. Just think a brand new piece at a lower price with a fresh warranty might be the better choice
