18th & 19th Century Projectiles in Big Bore Airguns?

I currently do not own any big bore airguns but I am curious if anyone has tried lead projectiles that would have been used as ammunition in historical 18th and 19th century military muskets. Specifically 72 cal lead round ball (Brown Bess musket) and Civil War 58 cal minie balls. I shoot both since I do reenacting. Both in the 500 grain weight range.

If anyone who owns an appropriate air gun would be willing to try some and post results here I'd be willing to cast up a dozen or so and send them out no cost. I can do nominal 0.715 dia ball and 0.575 cal Minies cast and die sized. Please PM me if interested. I won't do it for lots of you but the first few who reply I will make some and send them as long as you agree to test them and post the accuracy and chrony data. I have plenty of scrap roofing lead so no big deal. Regards, Badger.
