1st Squirrel of the Season

After too many unsuccessful hunting trips, I finally saw some squirrels. Turns out all I had to do was hunt the same preserve, but on the other side of the road. I found an area with minimal underbrush and as I scouted, I heard 2 squirrels communicating. I was slowly moving closer when 1 of them took off running and the other shot up a tree. Not seeing where the 1st squirrel went, I concentrated I the treed Squirrel. Shifting to my left I just see it 14 yards ahead abut 4' up the tree. I raised my .22 Regal XL and squeezed the trigger. "POCK" and he fell from the tree and started kicking. The 18gr. JSB entered the right side of his neck and exited the left breaking through the front leg.
The greys down here are tiny, and the foxes are so far and few between you're only allowed 1 per day.
