Filling a Scott 45min tank from empty to hopefully 4500psi. Taking my time and not pushing the compressor. So far its done good but only at 3200psi so far.
Yeah I stopped at 4200psi. Thanks. Did a good job. We'll see on longevity but with rest and time it filled the tank.IMHO, DON'T push your compressor to a full 4500psi. 4200-4250psi is sufficient. Your Yong Heng will thank you for it by NOT making it work that hard & lasting a bit longer. I baby mine & never run it longer than 15-20 minutes MAX. Then, a 20 minute cool down before running it again.
Yeah I had a fan blowing later. Really seemed to help some.Robich,
Nice set-up, I'm impressed. Don't be afraid to use a small box fan behind the compressor. This 10-inch fan is tied with a shoelace to the Yong Heng feet since vibration moved it around. Not my original idea but was surprised how effective it was at cooling external parts. WMView attachment 288461
Thanks. I am going to get a cart with two shelves so I can set pump on lower than tank on top. I ran it for about 15 minutes or 50c than shut down for 30 minutes. I have another 45min tank I need to fill than after that only top offs and gun fills.Outstanding. Try to set up so the HPA is pumped "upwards". I.E. compressor low, inline filter above that, tank above the inline filter. Want to allow water and oil to drain to the low points and bleed valves by gravity as efficiently as possible. And open the bleeds to purge every 5 minutes or so.
