More often than not for these suburban bandits if I wait around for a few minutes they tend to come right back.Likewise, last night heard loud "thump", two raiding neighbor's trash, previous incidents implicated cats, which I don't shoot, surprised to see these two. Grabbed M3, they took off as I peered around house corner. Two marked for extermination. WM
Must have really scared them, never came back. Here's a light for picatinny mounting on M3. Don't have red lens, used clear tape painted with red marker. M3 has IR scope, center dot only, just perfect.More often than not for these suburban bandits if I wait around for a few minutes they tend to come right back.
Thanks for the tip, seems once a year I have to deal with these trash raiders, mostly just clip light on M3 and sneak around corner of house, 20-yard shot. Better if I can catch them out by street, farther but better lit and less likely to scare. Probably did spook them bad, they took off like out of a cannon when I rounded corner with light on, maybe need better red lens, flashlight is a bright one. WMI use the remotely mounted and Wi-Fi controlled red light mounted about 30 or 40 degrees offset from my position. I noticed that if the red light moves around they notice it and may spook them. But a steady red light they have no concern about.
