Umarex 2 questions for Umarex

Question 1: Who in their infinite wisdom designed the Notos magazine, AEA or USAID?

Question 2: Was a public apology made? If so, I missed it.

All seriousness, the rifle is great for the $ but that magazine system is a tad bit less than to be desired. It’s like using braille to load that sucker-no offense to those impaired. Those who Notos, knows…

Umarex Notos is a great airgun with the most unreliable magazine.
Umarex Notos magazines are the worst PCP magazines I have ever seen, maybe because I have 8 of them and see them a lot.
Snowpeak makes the Notos and the magazines but Umarex accepted them, so both should be blamed.

I have 2 Notos with the 2 original magazines.
I bought 6 more magazines, since I like the Notos a lot.

Those 8 Notos magazines have these issues:
-jams
Every tine I get a jam, run fast in the garage (safe place) and use a rod to get the magazine out
The pellet is half in the magazine and half in the barrel.
You need to put the rod in the barrel and bash the pellet into the magazine.
I have never seen anything like this.
It happened many times already.
-need to fiddle with the magazine to get it in just the right place so that the freaking pellet gets into the barrel
You may also need to adjust the magazine position afterwards too.
-need to unscrew the screw since the front plate won't rotate
When you rotate the front plate the screw will rotate too.

I had 4-5 Notos oem mags with mine and never had a issue with any of them except for having to loosen up screw on one. Had a couple Maple mags I bought and one worked excellent and the other started to work decent after I used it for awhile but jammed about every 3 shots for awhile.

My 4 mags work great. However, one has an issue with the clear cover not staying closed, but that is just an annoyance. No issues as far as functionality goes, never jammed.

Notos is a cheap gun I bought one just to see what all the hype was about , The magazines suck, both stock ones do not work, My PP750 carm magazines work pretty good just ordered a couple 15 shot mags from Canada , Ill see how those work,,,
If I had to pick between my PP750 and the Notos , I would pick the PP 750 it just seems to be built better , Just FYI...

I have both the Notos and PP750.
I like both and the action is almost identical.
I wish Notos came in .177 too.

I have found that the Carm magazines are the best. I have eight of them and have had not one single problem! I threw away my stock Notos mags.

I have three Veteran Mutants with three air tanks I loan out to friends and family at the Notos price point if there worked right I would like two or three to expand my loaner program...BUT, and that's a big one you cant get people over to the PCPs if the magazines jam.... Really sucks , Not trying to convert everyone just friends and family so I can have someone to shoot with .

It’s not just the magazine itself, it’s the ergos of how the magazine gets inserted into the rifle. Mine hasn’t jammed, it just takes too much fiddling to insert. That, itself can lead to the cover plate not staying put.

I’m in the same boat. Have had people request magazine designs for these but the 3 OEM mags I have all work just fine.
