.20 pellets

I got my 40 year old R1 .20 out of the safe, but a Vortex kit in it, and have surcumed to the pellet optimization obsession most of you are problem afflicted with. I have tried 6 pellets. So far the Baracudas have been best but I would like to try both weights of the JSBs. Could anyone send me a few?

I don’t at all mind paying for them, but can’t find a commercial reseller of JSB samples.

No retailer sells sample packs of anything in .20 caliber and even if they did, you'd be lucky to get maybe 25 or 30 of each, which at least to me isn't anywhere near enough to truly test them.
By the time you truly test enough of each to say which one will shoot well (and my guess will be both), you'd be better off just buying a tin of each so you have plenty and the best/cheapest place to do that is at Trenier Airguns. Jeff has stellar customer service, packs insanely well and depending on where you are, you'll have them in 3-4 days if you order before noon.

There is a guy from my home town that does sell a .20 sample pack (4 types of pellets) on eBay. I’m glad he put the Baracudas in, otherwise I’d be pretty sick I put any money into the gun.

The JSBs are certainly in contention with the Baracudas: they both shoot great. Really fun holding 3.5 mils at 50 yards and ringing (wiggling) the steel. A quantitative comparison will have to wait for the wind to drop and the temps to moderate. 5 shot chrono strings put the 13.73 at 670 and the 15.89 at 603.
