200 Bar PCP's

I really like the little Empire XS that I recently bought. Yes, 200 bar fill, inexpensive, accurate, adjustable (pellet speed and trigger) if you like. Even though it's got a short barrel, it's not THAT...loud ! Mine's a .22

There's also the Walther Reign. Similar to the above. But with a plastic stock. I have one in .22. It's not a bad gun at all. Not a lot of love here, but on other sites, there's more than a few people with them. Mines a .22 . It's a little longer than the XS above.

Kral Arms, Puncher breaker. Very close to the Empire XS above. Very close to the same comments. This one's in-between the two above for length. Again, well designed and built for an expensive gun. Similar to the Walther, not a ton of love on this site, because it's not an FX (!). But on other sites, people have them. Look on the Pyramyd Air sight to see the reviews from owners.

There's a couple of good guns to check into.

Had an unregulated Huntsman Regal with recommended fill pressure of 210 bar- was very easy to fill with a hand pump. No longer available new, but AOA has the Rever side lever version unregulated:

Daystate used to put a small plaque of sorts on each rifle, marked with the best starting pressure to produce a flat shot string with that particular gun. Not sure how widely it varied, but seemed to always be in the 200-220 bar range.

Also had an Air Arms (CZ) S200 that was even easier to hand pump. Think it was 200 bar, but don't quote me on that (was definitely not higher than that). Unfortunately, that model is also no longer available new.

Both occasionally pop up in the classifieds. It's a crapshoot though, maybe later today, or maybe a year from now before the next one is advertised.

As for new guns, would think it hard to go wrong with a Marauder, & some of the Krals get good marks. Never owned either, so no personal experience to relate.

The plaque on the Revere has "250" on it.
