641 maybe you can enlighten us as to what you have done for the shooting sports? personally i havent done anything special but im not going to say what some one else should do and insult them.

Your views are OPINION, and opinions are not facts. If you were not there, you would not know. Armchair quarterbacks have zero credibility or right to comment against an event that you did not even attend.
I was at this competition, and have been for the last 4 years. Pyramyd goes above and beyond in this competitor's eyes. It's not perfect, but they are trying their best to make it the best Field Target competition in the country. If you contact Pyramyd Air, they could probably provide all of THEIR credentials that they contribute to the shooting sports.

I'm currently Assistant Match Director for Eastern Suffolk Competitive Airgunners Association (ESCAA) since 2012.
I'm a lifetime NRA member.
I'm a lifetime USA Shooting member.
I've am one of several primary range officers that oversee my gun clubs safety, operation, training, and competitive programs since 1983.
I'm the only Distinguished Expert Marksmen in Smallbore Rifle in my club since 1983.
I have a Lifetime Master competitor card in Smallbore 3 Position Rifle.
I've competed in numerous national smallbore 3 position rifle events.
I've been a shooting coach for junior shooters from my club at the National Matches in Camp Perry, Ohio, on numerous occasions.
I hold a Sharpshooter shooting classification in International Air Pistol
I'm a member of USA Archery
I'm a lifetime member of the NFAA.
I'm a 21 time National Indoor Field Crossbow Champion.
I currently hold every US Indoor Crossbow National Record.
I currently hold every world Indoor Crossbow record.
And, I probably have more credentials and accolades that I cannot recall at the moment.
I probably have way more credentials than you, and, even with that, my statements and opinions mean NOTHING. Just because someone has "credentials" doesn't mean you are correct, and your statements are fact., your statements are ALL armchair opinions, nothing more.
You state that Pyramyd should support the National Matches in Camp Perry. Pyramyd air generally supports Field Target events, not large scale formal target National Events. Maybe they will in the future. You can't be everywhere, they are still a relatively small company that is in the retail business, not a multi million dollar corporation that can support the larger events. That statement has no merit, again, just your opinion, and I respect ALL and EVERYONE'S opinion. Mrod stated above his opinion, and explained himself. I respect that, and he stated his views civilly and with respect.
If you have that strong of OPINION against Pyramyd Air, maybe you should contact them, and ask them what they do for the shooting sports...... I think you'll be surprised.

You are correct about shooting sports in the US, we do have to stick together, and get the youth involved.
The Pyramyd Air Cup is a fun shoot, but your view of the event needs enlightening. This is a fierce competitive event that is an American Airgun Field Target Association (AAFTA) sanctioned and Grand Prix match.
What this means, is there are several locations around the country that one can compete for a spot on the USA Field Target Team. There are only a few more left, such as this weeks National Championship in North Carolina. The highest scores from these Grand Prix events, individuals qualify for the US team that will go to England in 2019 for the world Field Target Championships.
Only a few weeks have passed since the 2018 World Championships were held in Poland.
Team USA won the Springer team gold medal, a first for the USA.
Greg Sauve, reclaimed his Veteran World Champion title (60 years+)
Lauren Parsons, a recent transplant from South Africa, took 2nd in the World Championship bid for the ladies title.
So, you see, it is competitive, and it's pretty interesting and intense. Pyramyd Air supports us, because many of the formal shooting organizations do not recognize or support this aspect of the airgun sport.
I also agree that the youth should get involved, and I think Pyramyd did an excellent job of doing this, even though the space allotted was lame, due to no fault of Pyramyd.
I had a good friend from Long Island take his entire family to the shoot to watch. He drove 9 hours, just to try some guns out, and get his wife and kids involved. One of his little girls won the youth event, and walked away with a 4 H approved airgun. His wife now is interested in shooting more as well. That's how you get new people to get the bug.
I do know that Pyramyd does support the NRA and some other organizations. If someone from Pyramyd can chime in to this post, maybe we all can get a better understanding of what Pyramyd has done for the shooting community. Maybe, after reading this post, they might want to involve themselves in Camp Perry. Maybe they are already involved In some way, behind the scenes. A lot of corporations don't advertise everything they do.
