FX 2024 Fx Dreamline Lite rail extension available options?

Hi guys

i would like to put a bipod on my dreamlite but further out towards the muzzle..

i am getting 700cc carbon bottle but i don't want to use those ugly clamps/rails on the bottle..

is there a product- an extension to our short picatinny rail (the one by trigger guard) that can extend said picatinny rail and allow me to put a bipod way forward ?

i found this but its for impact..

I found that most Picatinny rail extensions were too flimsy to use with a bipod, or too heavy to be practical. I ended up with one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019BCXNW4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
It tended to bend if I wasn't gentle with it, so I installed one of these to reinforce the rail and keep it very light.

This leaves just enough room to mount the bipod at the end. I had to use a rubber mallet to get the cover on the rail. It is a very tight fit and I wouldn't want to take it off, but it keeps the lightweight rail from bending under pressure of stabilizing the gun. I've been using this for about two years and it has not come up short on the bench or in the field. It also has the benefit of making that rail more comfortable to handle by covering the rough slots and providing a smooth surface for your hand when shooting offhand.

Edited to add: I missed the part about the bottle, so this may not work for you. My bad.

ok, i might have to go off the bottle with a clamp.. maybe i can find something that is not so ugly..

but i have another question for you- that small extension on your air cylinder, the one with the golden screw- is that the regulator or is it the new extra power plenum that i read about.. the newer gen 2 models supposedly get it from factory?

or is it regulator plus power plenum in one?

i ask because i still don't have my newly ordered dreamlite and have no clue how mine will look or what will it have... i am hoping for that extra power plenum on mine and would like to see someone with the normal cylinder version showing me whether he has the extra power plenum and where it sits..

It is a absolute mystery how AG makers can get off making rifles with practically 0 lower rail and for damn sure not any sensible place to attach a bipod unless you go for the ghetto solution of a tube / bottle clamp.
It is so bad i am beginning to think there are some sort of agreement between makers of AG and makers of accessories.

This is actually the reason if / when i look to buy a new AG i have to bypass a lot of otherwise good rifles, and my current Two, well not happy with epic making that still too short Arca rail under the tube, it should have been at least 2 X longer, and even if, there are no accessory longer rail for the tube versions of the Two, only the bottle versions.

yes! i hear you....

i too will have to settle for an ugly bottle clamp

getting a chassis with a long bottom rail would maybe solve the problem but i am not spending money on that..

No the accessory rails you can get, add substantially to the price of your rifle, i only want to pay 1 time, well at least for general things like having a bipod in the right place.

I use a Caldwell Rock BR rest for my shooting, a bit far back though but i just have to live with that.

I am eying a RTI Mora sniper for next rifle.
But one thing i do not see with RTI or any other brand for that matter.

People like me that shoot bench and tethered, we dont really need a bottle as that is on the floor, maybe with a inline regulator on it.
So i figure why do the different brands not offer this, a bottle less rifle maybe with a proper lower rail instead.

So i went a little mad in paint and came up with this, a Mora with a proper long ARCA rail.

I would buy that as soon as piggy bank allowed for it.

It is kind of like this but on a cheaper scale. You could get a cheaper quick detach scope ring set in 30mm. Buy 30mm carbon tube of amazon for $20-30. Get a 30mm clamp on picatinny rail used for shotgun mag tubes and boom, you have an extended bipod mount. Can't find the picture of what the guy made on here. He is not very active anymore and got out of the hobby.

My DreamTac is all factory stock parts. Pretty much the way she came to me new from Utah Aiguns, almost 3 years ago. I put a tungsten hammer in once but it really felt terrible to shoot compared to how it came, so I went back to the stock config. It is my understanding that this is the new configuration of the Dreamline with an integrated plenum... I think? Typical crap FX documentation, the one thing I really have a beef with FX about. But if you ordered yours new, it should be roughly the same. The brass part is the regulator adjustment screw.

i still don't understand... sorry, I'm polish :ROFLMAO:

the brass part- the regulator adjustment screw- is there also the power plenum inside? the new once are supposed to come with the extra power plenum... but i bought an extra power plenum for my dreamlite and there is no adjustment screw for regulator on it- its just a piece of tubing which extends the small plenum about 17cc...

where is your extra power plenum or do you not have one?

I think the plenum is the same for the bottle reg and the aitube. It will go between the bottle reg and the reciever. You can stack the plenums in a line to make more plenum space for higher powered tunes.
that means the power plenum must sit inside the bottle adapter right?.. i can not be located inside the cf bottle obviously..

I know... I'm not sure I understand either, no thanks to FX. But yes, I believe on the newer models, the PP is part of the regulator housing. You can add more, but it is my understanding that you get the first integrated into the gun (at least that's what I was told, lol).
