2024 July 14 Sunday FT Match Report
Temperature: 75-93 degrees F
Wind: 1-3 mph, Sunny with very light variable shifting winds
10 lanes, 30 targets, 2 shots/target = 60 shots/points total shot near to far
Started 10:00 am, ended 12:30 pm, lunch served, clean up started 1:00 pm finished by 1:04 pm
15-55 yards, mix of 1”, 1-1/2" and 40mm kill zones.
Average distance: 38.6 yards, Average KZ size: 1 1/2", Course Difficulty: 29.6T with wind factor (14 targets over 40 yards)
Alan helped Ron set up the course on Saturday morning. Ron laid out half the course out in the sun and half in the shade.
There was a very light wind with lots of mirage.
All targets had 1-½" kill zones except for one with 1” KZ.
We ordered pizza and soda for lunch. We gave out the NEFTL medals after lunch.
There was a tie for second and third place. Instead of doing a shoot off both agreed to just determine the tie breaker by positional lanes combined. Unfortunately, both had the same combined positional scores. I decided to use the score for the farthest targets. Dave F (2nd) had one less miss at the longest shots than Bill D (3rd).
After eating lunch, we cleaned up the course and it took about 5 minutes to clean up.
Thanks to all that attended and helped clean up the course within 10 minutes. It was another nice day to shoot field target with friends.
