2024 April 4 Sunday FT Match Report
Temperature: 65-85 degrees F
Wind: 1-4 mph, Cloudy with variable shifting winds
10 lanes, 30 targets, 2 shots/target = 60 shots/points total shot near to far
Started 9:45 am, ended 12:30 pm, lunch served, clean up started 1:00 pm finished by 1:05 pm
15-55 yards, mix of 1”, 1-1/2" and 40mm kill zones.
Average distance: 37 yards, Average KZ size: 1 1/2", Course Difficulty: 34.53T with wind factor (12 targets over 40 yards)
Leo & Scott helped Ron set up the course on Saturday morning. Ron laid out a standard course with some targets lined up behind other targets increasing the likelihood of shooting the wrong target. Alas no shot the wrong target this time around.
Light wind was forecasted. It varied in direction and strength between shots. Holding off the kill zone was necessary even on the medium range distances.
All targets had 1-½" kill zones except for one with 1” KZ.
We ordered pizza and soda for lunch. After eating lunch, we cleaned up the course and it took about 5 minutes to clean up.
Thanks to all that attended and helped clean up the course within 10 minutes. It was another nice day to shoot field target with friends.
