We have a very full schedule of Airgun matches in the state of Ohio in 2025. We have even expanded slightly from last year to a total of 41 events. There is an FT match on nearly every Sunday from April to October and almost as many BR matches which all fall on Saturday. There will be no 2 matches on the same date (of any type), so everyone can attend all of them if they wish.
We will again hold the Buckeye Field Target Series. The format will stay the same, but there is one new rule change (see below). To qualify you must shoot at least one match in the same class at each of the four Ohio clubs. If you shoot more than one match at a club, your highest score at that club will be included in the total. Shooters can win in two different classes (one PCP and one Piston class). The total number of qualifying shooters in each class determines the number of places to be awarded.
*** Buckeye Series rule change *** - With the rather large dollar amount of prizes to be paid out, we want to ensure the integrity of the competition for all. This year, each club will randomly assign pairings for those who wish to have their score submitted for the Buckeye Series. Shooters who do not allow themselves to be randomly paired will not have their score count towards the Buckeye Series. Match directors will have the discretion to determine how to perform the random pairings as well as having the discretion to pair new shooters with experienced shooters.
Note that Central Ohio Airgunners (COA) will have most of their matches at the Cardinal Shooting Center. However, there will be 2 COA matches held at the Columbus Muzzle Loading Gun Club and those say “COA FT @ MLGC” in the notes.
Each club has their own Facebook group page, and you can find a variety of Airgun and Club information on all of them. We encourage you to join these groups and participate in the conversations and flow of information whether you’re from Ohio or not.
