A GP is not the best place for someone to start, but it is not uncommon for shooters to attend their first match at a GP! I have seen it many times. You are welcome to attend and will experience FT at a very high level; but your scores will definitely be lower, but don't get discouraged!Anything beginner related at the shoot for first timers? Or not this month?
Thanks for the info. I think I will just show up and watch this one.A GP is not the best place for someone to start, but it is not uncommon for shooters to attend their first match at a GP! This would be a great match to come and check out if you have never shot FT. That said if you have studied the sport and have a good understanding of the rules and what is going on don’t be scared off. I shot the world championship back in November and the first day was squadded with a guy who had never shot a FT match. He knew it was a big deal, close to home, and didn’t want to miss the opportunity to shoot in the WFTF World Championship. Super nice guy and he did fine. He knew going in he was going to get his butt whipped & learn a lot. He also had a good grasp of the rules and what was going on and kept the pace of the match. Thanks for the info. Good advice. You may be talking me into it. It won't hurt to shoot it just to have fun and learn. This would be a great match to come and check out if you have never shot FT.
