10-55 yards, under 20fpe, NIGHT MATCH!!!!
We've done high power/long range field target matches at night but this will be the first REGULAR field target night match @ PRGC. And it will be a full 10 lanes of fun.
Ranging by focus at night is an interesting experience, details can be seen that are simply not visible in the sunlight. I've been told by some competitors that they like to set up their scopewheels at night, specifically because it is so much easier to discern "clear"on a well-lit target at night, versus during the day. One fun aspect that we saw from from 20fpe field target as a fun side match a few years ago, was that the vaporized cloud of lead could be seen in the scope. I've only ever seen that with sub20fpe field target at night.
Should be a blast!!!
I'm told that many years ago, PRGC hosted sub 20fpe field target matches, but this will be the first 10-55yard ft match at this location in a VERY long time.
Match will occur on the same terrain as the high power/long range matches, back behind (south of) the berms in the natural desert.
Match starts: May 27, 2023 @ 7:00 PM · Match ends: May 27, 2023 @ 10:00 PM
