.22 AA VS JTS pellets

Over decades I have tested about every .22 18 Gr Diablo pellet available and never found a pellet that would hang with the Air Arms pellets in terms of accuracy and consistency (except perhaps the H&N Baracuda Match 21.14 Gr) until recently. In several of my .22s, the JTS 18s will hang right with the AA pellets, if not perform better. Below is an example. I have shot tens of thousands of AA pellets and admittedly probably less than 500 of the JTS pellets, but the outcome has been very promising.

The groups below were shot using my .22 Cricket Long incorporating the Georgia Airguns Charlie Frear power tune at 50 yards.

Does your Cricket have a CZ barrel? I noticed the JTS 18s were tight and notchy loading in my Prophet CZ barrel. Will see how they do in my Taipan standard with CZ as well. In my Dreamline Compact, they are lights out.
They are also tight and notchy loading into the RPB barrel. I believe the lead mixture is harder than JSB’s.

Would explain how the shots were busting straight through squirrels a week ago while hunting. Used my Dreamline tuned to 750 fps and needed more than a few shots on a couple of them. Found some shots that blasted straight through with little to no damage to the meat. May have to stick with the softer stuff for hunting and JTS for paper punching. They do kill targets very nicely.
