Hapo - I had the .30 RS2 for a while. The Korean shot curve drove me completely nuts and when I reg'ed it with a Huma I couldn't get any decent power out of it for a full 7-shot mag. I finally sold it to someone who would use it for hunting w/o the reg - probably the best case use for it. I realize this is the .30 and a .22 will not require the same air consumption.

IIRC Scott (Motorhead) was doing some serious tuning on a RS2 around the same time. There are some extensive threads on it over at GTA if they haven't been removed with the changes there. Not sure on the caliber.

IMO the only good gun Evanix has come out with is the AR6 pistol.

For your $700 I believe you can do much better. Maybe a Brocock HiLite model?

...thanks guys...this explains a lot...

I think I got ctshooters 30 cal(maybe not i cant remember)a trip to will p and it upped power and shot fair, then it dumped the air due to the huma reg going bad and I sent it back costing me more money.it shot ok but only lasted less 100 shots.with around $500.00 in repairs I couldn't afford to send it back for another $225.00+ repair bill so I sold it at a grave loss.i know it not a 22 but it has to be the worst rifle I ever had...you may get a good one but who knows good luck...

I have a Jkhan .22 basically a rebadged rainstorm.22. The big difference in a lothar Walter barrel. Dead nuts accurate. I think if you have a rainstorm.22 and are having trouble with it , a lothar Walther would be the fix. I have a rainstorm.30 that I modded and it’s extremely accurate and after going with a short stiff spring , I get a very nice shot string and power. Shoots pellets and slugs accurately. They got the .30 barrels right. A little tuning makes a good gun great.

If your interested here’s the write up on the .30. Same mods can be done to any of them .

I don't have the 22 Rainstorm but I do own a 25 referb, shoots JSB King Heavy MkII's hole in hole at 30 yards and 1/2 to 3/4 groups at 50. It also likes the new Hades pellets and NSA 38.5 gr slugs. The MkII's are hitting at 50 FPE and pack a wallop for a little carbine that's shorter than all my other rifles except my Discovery. I don't shoot it a lot and the trigger pull is a bit stiff, but that's ok for a hunting rifle and that was my reason for purchasing it. I have three other rifles for backyard plinking. My biggest concern would be replacement parts in the future.

I have Daystate rifles, FX Rifles, Airgun Technology Rifles, Brocock rifles, JKHan rifles, Jager rifles, and I have Evanix rifles too.

My must accurate rifle is the Evanix Renegade. 30 Cal... It is outstanding at short and long distance.

My second best rifle in accuracy is the Wolverine HP R in. 25 Cal with 34 grain JSB's

Then they come the Airgun Technogy Vulcans and Uragan.

Then the Brocock Sniper HR in. 25 Cal.

Then the FX

Then the Jager in 22 and the JKHan in. 25

Then Daystate Regal XL. This one is very accurate too.

And then the other Evanix.

Almost all compete at 50 yards. The real difference is at 100 yards and farther away.

At long distance every rifle likes specific pellet.

In the Evanix rifles you have reliability above almost all other one's and more than decent accuracy.

If you have a Rainstorm in. 30 Cal, you have one of the best rifles in the market. The only disadvantage is that it gives only 9 hunting shots and another 9 less power ones.
