.22 JSB Jumbo Monster Light and Grand

Photos lifted from elsewhere on the interwebs....but don't think I saw any discussion about them here....

What do we think about these?

I'm personally MUCH more excited to try out both of these than I am either the "Deep" or "Shallow" ReReRedesigned .22/25.4.

I'm really hoping the 20.83grain has a bit better BC than the 18.13 and that the 28.55 has at least as good of a BC as the 25.4, but without the maddening flyers that plague that pellet.

Having just today concluding that I've officially divorced the .22/25.4, I'm excited for new .22 options.

I spent far too much time and effort and money trying to make the .22/25.4 shoot accurately.

Frank, you just about summed up the bottom line. 👍🏼

What's nice is that this will finally close the huge JSB gap between 18gr and 25gr.... All we had was the venerable H&N Baracuda at 21 as bridge.

I've been shooting the 25's.. and they have been good and hit hard..will the 28 fit most magazine? if so I'll have to try some.. pretty much slug weight but still a pellet for pellet guns

Mark, the 28 are 9mm long. They fit in all the magazines I've got.
25 from memory are 8.9mm.

Excuse the metric, I'm European.😉

Same here. I sold all but a few partial tins of the Re,Re,Re's. Those things were infuriating.

My Thomas is tuned hotter now for slugs so hoping the Grand's are a good fit with higher BC and have two guns the Lights would work in.

I'm guessing that these pellets shouldn't have many flyers, due to being made with brand new dies.

I have a Daystate Wolverine R HP that shoots the 18.13s extremely accurately at 1,025fps. It shoots the 25g MRDs at 895-900fps…

… it seems like the new 21g JSBs were made for my Wolfie - looking forward to trying them.
My HW100S is about 30 fps less than that with those pellets; it does average of 925 with the H&N Barracuda Match so I would assume around the same with the similar weight JSBs. If the BC is better they would be worth a try. The rifle's best accuracy so far has been with those two JSBs with 18.13 a little better.
