Atleast your boy likes shooting. Hopefully he comes around to lizard shooting, but if not target shooting isn’t far behind hunting in fun. Maybe more for most ten years old boys.

Sorry for reviving this old thread. There was a question asked, but not answered.. which would help me.
Would I need to empty the gun of all air, before adjusting the hammer spring or checking o-rings for the power adjuster?

No. You can do both with the gun charged just verify it's unloaded and stays pointed in a safe direction.
