Thi predicted BC for that pellet is: 0.0741

That seems too high for that size/shape.

It is.

Here they are next to a .22 MRD...

I shot some about two weeks ago and got this....
(Average speed of 5 that muzzle and 10. @ 47 yards)

BC might be much better with a slower starting point, but they were strangely much less accurate at 890-900 than they were @ 950 (from that particular barrel).

Even slower, I don't think they'll ever have a BC of 0.074...

The Hunter Magnums (23grain) were tried from two barrels in the last few weeks, both preferred them at 950+. One barrel put five into an inch or so @53 yards and the other was closer to 1.75" I'm they 50-55 yard range. Actually I think I've got a photo of how they did from the better barrel....

I've owned an NOE mold for the 19grain .22 pellets for a couple years. Most of the barrels I've tried them with were high volumes of meh. One did shoot them into all overlapping holes at 50-55 yards. But most barrels I've tried have shot the NOE Hunter pellets into 1.5" groups at 50-55 yards. Which is hunting accurate I suppose.

Bob is the guy that designed the mold I was referring to. He doesn't recommend sizing it because it is designed for minimal engagement and minimal bore friction. If it drops slugs too large for your barrel, sell and and buy something else. My recommendation not to size wasn't a blanket statement.

This mold fills out fine with pure lead. All of my air rifle molds do if I pressure pour.
I know it's not easy to find sizers less than .221, but with some ingenuity you can size them to .2165, .2169, .2173, or .2177. There is no need to buy another mold if they do not fit.

I have been casting Bob's boat tail 30 grain slugs for awhile now and I size them down to.218 for my impact. NOE has sizing dies down to.215 but would not recommend sizing the 30 grain that small. Sizing that small basically removes all of the drive bands and increases friction to a unacceptable amount.
