I shoot all my PCPs in my backyard. They are all about 85 db plus or minus 3 db. The quietest is my P35-177 or my Prod with a buck rail moderator on it. Prod only comes in 22 BTW. P35-177 is about 82db and I think the moderated Prod may be under 80. My Prod came with a tune that was under 15 fpe but I did not like the lack of immediate death on squirrels with body shots. I turned it up to about 18 fpe. My P35-177 is about 19 fpe. I have a hair curler mod in all 3 of my P35s. It is also possible to add a moderator with an adapter. The Stoeger Bullshark is very, very similar to the P35 except for the stock. It comes with the moderator adapter. P35s are regulated. I get about 100 shots on a fill of my 177. I get about 30 from a fill of my Prod (66cc versus 265cc and 3000 psi versus 250 bar).
My P35-25 likes H&N FTTs which are only 20 grains. My P35-22 likes H&N Baracuda Match which are a little over 21 grain. I turned the power down on the 25 to keep it to 870 fps. 22 is about 830 fps. So very similar power. Also very similar noise levels. The 22 penetrates further in wet paper and is more accurate. If I needed to kill a raccoon or possum I would prefer the 22, I think. Either should work as long as I place the shot well.
The buck rail moderator I have used on my Prod works and I thinks it improved the accuracy a little but it is fragile. I broke mine today. It's probably a good idea to use a moderator that isn't 3D printed unless you can be real careful with it or it fits inside the shroud like the one on my Avenger.
To me it makes a pretty big difference if I open a window and take a shot versus put out the pellet trap and shoot 50-100 shots. My neighbors would probably not notice a single shot even if they heard it. They would not if inside their house. If I shoot at my pellet trap they notice but what I am doing is legal and they don't care.
