Tuning 2240 barrel breech assembly

I just got a steel breech, Lothar Walther barrel in .177 and a stainless bolt from Alliance hobby. Sitting here looking things over I installed the bolt in the breech, then slid the barrel into the breech and aligned the intake ports, and discovered the bolt will not close. I just emailed Alliance, but suspect considering the time it might be tomorrow before I hear back. Any suggestions?

I understand what you are saying. With the bolt closed the hole in the side of the barrel for the transfer port is too forward to allow for the port to seat. Is it possible that I was sent a .22 cal bolt for a .177 cal barrel, I know I am sitting here pulling at straws. I did try aligning a transfer port and that's a no go, to allow the bolt closing, same as my eyeballing it.

I got my answer, the vendor responded, I sent some pictures and he determined it was the correct bolt, then asked if it would close properly with the o ring removed, which it would. He said sometimes those were so tight it took some force. I actually lubed it with some silicone lube then closed the bolt and tapped the end of the barrel with a rawhide mallet and it did allot the exhaust ports to align properly. It's still tight, so should make for a good gas seal.

I usually use set screws through the tube and into the valve body to align the valve port to the gun and barrel ports as the valve is not secure in the gun, as it comes from the factory, but can move around enough to make a difference in power and accuracy.
